So the beta is Fall 2013? I see they're giving us a long wait after MoH (which is looking excellent), yet again.

Wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being one of the last releases on current consoles...

Bit disappointed by this, but not really all that surprised. I was hoping we wouldn't even be hearing anything regarding BF4 until 2014, as ingenuous as I know that sounds. This doesn't necessarily rule out any news about BC3, which I'm wanting information about.

BF3 hasn't been out a year yet, of course it feels early now. But it's not doing to be out until BF3 is 2 years old. I feels like everyone's treating it as if it's coming out soon.

We really need to open our eyes. Maybe this game will be bad, maybe it will be amazing. What we need to do, is be patient, and also stop hating on a video game franchise/developer like DICE. DICE has never let me down on the Battlefield series.

OffT: You all need to calm the f*ck down, who cares if there was a 2 year gap between BF3 and the newly acclaimed BF4. BF4 beta is in Fall 2013.

I think there goal was to compete with whatever call of duty is coming out in 2013-15. EA just cares about our money. They make us pay $50 for Premium DLC which makes no sense, cause it comes out for everybody else.

i dont think EA has to compete with the new COD game , its slowly dieing ( my opinion ) . but ofcours its money they want mostly , so they are just milking the sh*t out of it ....

I wouldn't mind the next Battlefield title (possibly) coming out in 2013, but the large DLC campaign for Battlefield 3 worries me a lot. We're getting Battlefield 3 content up until March, and then Battlefield 4 will probably come out in October 2013.

Still, I don't think I would say that EA and DICE are milking the franchise that much more than they have done for about a decade now. There has been Battlefield games and expansions being released just about every year since 2002. The DICE employees are restless.

Thank you,this shows that this is what BF franchise was always about. It was obvious that there would be new BF title in 2013,it was just a question would that be BF4,BC3 or BF 2143(BF 2143 would be probably DLC for BF4).They still can make good game in 2 years of course,but with EA pushing DICE to make it more and more like COD,both this and MOH would sink wery soon. And with pushing Origin with every new game it would all die out soon.

As for BF4: As other intelligent people have said, this is not (too) soon by BF-standard. I will however say, if BF4 is just another modern era game featuring US vs. Russia, it might feel a little redundant to me. But, considering we know nothing about the game at this point, I'm cautiously optimistic.
Personally, I'm hoping for a WWII game, but that's probably a long shot. 2144 is a possibility, though I can hear the uninformed cries of 'rip-off' from CODiots already.
