this is how i fixed it for 3ds max

>>> for the hatch back door glitch

1. select all the interior parts of the car (or the part only where the windows sees the glitch)
2. detach and name it your liking (ex. Gino_interior) (do not change the position of the pivot)
3. open click new schematic scene under graphics editor
4. connect the interior part to the chassis dummy
5. and tada!! it's fixed

>>> for other window glitch (headlight and taillights glass, or any glass part connected to the chassis)
1. select the the glass part
2. detach and name it to your liking (ex. GLAASS) (do not change the position of the pivot)
3. open click new schematic scene under graphics editor
4. connect the glass part to the chassis dummy
5. and tada!! it's fixed

Important notes:

1. backup your work or you save first
2. do not change the position of the pivot
3. if i'm right don't name your part as the names identical to the SA parts

if you don't get it
please wait i will make this tutorial with pictures

*giggles* this used to drive me nuts in Zmod - the heirarchy trick works, but as I recall, you may be able to get teh same effect by fiddling with the render order of the faces in the glass.

QUOTE (GinoPinoy @ Saturday, Apr 20 2013, 07:11)
how do you fiddle the render order of the faces ?

You do it by selecting all polys related to glass, then either detach them as a new element or object. Then re-add them back to the original object. This will add the polys/triangles last in the object's render order.

And supposedly, it can also help to have glass textures assigned last to a vehicle model when creating it in 3ds Max. And possibly, added to the bottom of the .txd list too.
