I installed a 100% save game for SA and it always takes me to the first cutscene,but I have it on steam and the file shows "End of the Line". Is there a way to fix this?

Hmm, sounds odd. Where have you got the game from? Do you have any mods installed? Is there any way you could tell me what version your game has?

I said it was from Steam (bought online and downloaded) and has never been modded. It should be the latest version,but I'm not sure how to check that. I'm also running it on Windows 7 64 bit.

It should say at the bottom of the loading screen. Anyway, upload your save here. It'll tell you at the Save Information what version it is, at the Executable Version.

Have you tried removing the gta_sa.set file located in the San Andreas User Files folder?

Just tried that,still went back to the beginning. It also reset all controls,graphic,and sound options.

Okay, so tell me if any of the following save files load for you. They're both with the last mission End of the Line but not 100% save files: #1 & #2.

Crashed on 1 and 2. And it's V3.00

Edit : 2 works and it's complete,not sure what went wrong. But,thank you for sending the links.

That means you are trying to use a V1 save on a V3 game..V1 saves ARE NOT compatible with V2 and V3 games straight away-you MUST convert the save to V2/V3(they are the same compatibility wise-I have confirmed that, as I have all V2 saves and they load great on the Steam version-V3)-Just upload the save to GTASnP.com, and re-download it from there and it will automatically convert it to V2/V3....I have had to do this a few times when I was using old Chain Game saves from before the Auto Convert feature was added to the SnP Uploader/Downloader site...Just a heads up.

Vice City is the ONLY GTA from Steam that has no save compatibility with the Retail(CD) version for some reason?

what it comes down to is: Download Game (Steam) is a V3 Game. V3 (Dowload) is the same as a V2 (Disc) game with regard to Saves. If you are going to download Save games be sure they are V2.
