Hello,

Sorry if this has been mentioned before or is a well known issue, I did a quick search before posting but couldn't find anything related.

I am experiencing a graphical glitch regarding the water, basically the water looks great, like this:

But then after about 30 seconds the detailed waves disappear and I'm left with very boring water, like this:

I am running at high water settings, though I have tested and this happens on any level. Also as you can see I am playing EFLC, but it also seems to be happening in GTA IV too. These are the steam versions so they are both on the latest patch.

So, any ideas? Obviously this isn't a very significant problem and I am enjoying the games immensely, but it is rather weird.

Thanks in advance.

Quick edit: Thought I should mention that changing graphics settings, or alt-tabbing out and back into the game, cause the detailed water to return, but again it disappears after about 30 seconds. Anyone else experienced this?

AMD video cards have this bug. Search the forums and you'll find the updated file that will eliminate the issue.

i actually prefer new thread if it is new subject + new poster, instead of bumping four year old topics. i definitely don't like it when people keep asking the same question over and over, like the GTA IV PC building threads. ah well. Thanks for coming back and letting the forum know that you found your solution.
