The GT40 was more famed, but I think the Lola was just as successful, if not moreso- particularly in the US. In terms of outright speed, the Lola (in top-spec 3B guise) was considerably faster in a straight line, but they seldom actually competed against each other. There was two seasons of endurance racing (68 and 69) in which they competed against each other, but the Lola was built as a Can-Am car and the GT40 as a general endurance racer.

Also, calling a Mark IV a GT40 is p lame. The car literally has nothing in common with the Mark I-III aside from having the same basic engine as the mark II.

I'm suspicious of it even having a 40" roof height like the earlier cars. I think it's somewhat lower.
