Hi

Just reinstalled GTAIV after a format and RGSC wants to link your accounts?It doesnt really work because it comes back all the time.
Anyone noticed this?

Alright Tom, bit of bad news for you here now to be honest. I've looked the key up and it has exceeded it's usage. Games for Windows Live put a limit on the amount of times you can register their product keys and each reinstallation uses up one of these times. Unfortunately there's nothing that can be done once it's exceeded that limit, except get another product key. That's going to involve purchasing the game again which I know is obviously not an ideal solution as you've already purchased it.

Link account means linking your Xbox Live and GFWL Accounts which are necessary for RGSC. You can do the linking in Social Club, that's the easiest way I know.

He's lying, get on their phone support and insist on having your counter reset. Also, if you come by this again, tell him to get f*cked... by a donkey.

(my apologies for references of animal brutality, but I'm sure the donkey wouldn't be psychologically impaired due to that encounter)

Allright i'm gonna try this

*got of the phone ,they ask me to send proof of the game,pictures from the cd and serial and so on.
Gonna hear something back in 3 days,i'll keep this thread updated.

Well looks like my serial is gone.

I need a receipt from the game from when i bought it in 2009....Like i keep that.

Its Microsoft their policy they said at GFWL support.
Last game i've bought that works with GFWL then.

You still have a receipt from dec 2008 from when you bought the game?

Well,bought the GTA Complete Edition from steam for 10€Pretty awesome deal.Now i have my receipt via email and steam.

Lets hope for good luck with this one.

Of course not. But I live in an unsupported country so I don't give a damn. And in 2008 it was about the last time I actually purchased a game in retail.

I still have my receipt because I read up on PC release what a shower of S*** conversion this really was and thought those 'gits' at Rockstar are not going to shaft me up the botty when their crap product goes tits up

lesson to us all here...don't get shafted up the botty, especially by Rockstar
