It'd be interesting if they give the option to sleep in certain vehicles, for instance you could drive out to the country, park on a cliff and doze off in your favorite sedan as you watch the sun set. Or alternatively we bring a camper along with a bed in the back. Wake up in the morning, and drive into town to do a mission.

Yeah that be cool especially if this guy is a family man and his wife kicks him out of the house and he is forced to live in his car.

Now. I searched for topics and posts of this subject matter, and brought up nothing. But as always, lock if necessary.

In Grand Theft Auto IV, sleeping advanced time by a number of hours. The main reason of sleeping in GTA 4 was to save the game.

Now, do you think sleeping will be essential in GTA 5? Do you think it should be? Let's say that your stamina or "pep" decreases the longer your awake, and that sleeping (saving) becomes regularly necessary. I think it'd be cool if you could eat something and gain an energy boost. I also think that this wouldn't be too much of a nag, and would add some realism.

EDIT: Also. Grand Theft Auto 5 had a trick to it. If you laid in bed to sleep (save the game), you could just exit the save screen, and time would still advance by a certain amount of hours. If GTA 5 uses the same system, should this little trick be removed, or should the ability to skip forward in time without a cheat be allowed?

I wouldn't mind having to sleep to regain energy, but it shouldn't be done like Bully, were if you don't sleep at night you pass out and wake up with things missing.

In GTAV I would like a visual cue wereas the protag gets sluggish and seems lethargic.

Sleeping did not repair cars. Reloading repaired cars.

...and driving 2 blocks away.

I'd like if you get to choose how many hours, time advances by. Sleeping to regain your health and stamina would be nice too.

Maybe in the surrounding areas in GTA V, we can stop by to the nearest trashy motel and you can stay there for a couple nights? Red Dead Redemption has a camping feature. Hopefully there is some camping store and we can buy something like that..

Why? It's a simple question. Why? In a video game, why should I have to be responsible for my character? Why can't I just fly planes in peace without worrying about rest? Why?

how about an optional hardcore mode and an optional casual kid mode. in the first one you have some rpg stuff like in san andreas, sleeping hunger and so on. in the second one you don't have that stuff but you can have free miniguns, fighter jets and constant rampage missions. how about a custom mode where you can select what realism tamagochi stuff you want activated or not in the game and stay in peace FOREVER

When Rockstar finally starts marketing GTAV, the tagline at the end of the commercial should read: This is not the Sims.

That statement has been written often enough here in this forum that I think if I searched for the term "sims" under Topic Search, it would return so many hits that it would bluescreen my computer.

At first, I thought this might be a fun little idea that wouldn't be too annoying. No one complained about hunger in San Andreas, right? Then I realised how annoying it would be if I was in the middle of an epic car chase with the police and suddenly I passed out from lack of sleep. So no, best not include it.
