And don't forget, trailers always look better, even if it's not pre-rendered on a high-end PC. Just watch GTA IV's first trailer, you'll spot differences. And, actually, do you really feel GTA V's graphics looked THAT much better??? I didn't, it wasn't groundbreaking imo. | Same I wasn't blown away with the graphics more the content.

It will have been over a year at least since the first trailer and release, allowing for plenty of time to make things look great. Not to mention the large amount of games coming out now with amazing graphics, Rockstar will have to compete with them.

This exactly. It was much sharper. Check out GTA IV now and you will see how less-sharp it all looks compared to the V trailer.
And yeah...the framerate really wasn't too good in IV, and it was already ALOT better in RDR, much much better. So i think we can expect a much improved framerate too. |
Yes, but i'm telling you, go watch IV's first trailer, please do. That looks WAY sharper than the game itself. But this is nothing new bro, it's a trailer! I recently bought RDR and right before i got it i watched the trailers a lot. Then when i started playing i immediately saw the huge difference. Exactly the same with Max Payne 3, i was shocked @ how much better/smoother the trailer looked, even though it said 'Entirely made from in-game footage'. But it happens all the time! | QUOTE (73duster @ Monday, Jul 9 2012, 22:19) | | I'm not worried. Every Rockstar title has gotten progressively better with the graphics. RDR was 2 years later, and it showed. Will GTAV blow everyone away? Probably not, but it looks great nonetheless. RDR was very impressive as it was, so if GTAV is just slightly better, i'll be thrilled. | That's just natural progression. Of course we can expect it to be slightly better, even though GTA is much bigger. Those facial expressions in RDR where, non-existent, really if you ask me.

What are you talking about? All R* trailers are entirely made from in-game gameplay graphics, and the final game always looks better, are you honestly trying to tell me that GTA IV looked worse than it's debut trailer? Hahahaha, that trailer looked like total sh*t mate (i just watched it now) the final build looked way way way better
