| QUOTE (69_black_69 @ Monday, Aug 20 2012, 15:22) | That's a different palm. I'm talking about the screenshot posted by GTARandom. You know, the palm with those spiky thing on it's trunk. How many Polys is that? And i think those palm clearly ruin the Miami atmosphere. Get rid of it and make a new one based on Miami palms.

Just remember that highpoly doesn't mean HD. If you're trying to put a 40.000 polys to a game only for the a single palm model, clearly you're a dumb person. ( like PO Trees, sure they're nice looking things, but clearly out of game standards).
And instead of using tiling textures for the building, why not try to give it a unique map. So you guys could make a fake shadow, with baking the AO maps or something, so it doesn't looks so dull and flat.
It's one of the model i made, based on a miami beach lifeguard.
Not an expert or anything, just want to help. Tiling textures is actually great, but of course if you got it right. | QFT,Great job....completely agree on texture mapping point.

Some beach balls for you to play with on Ocean Beach. Inspired by the real life gta goodies

(I couldn't find the artwork where the legs and roller skates were not cut off, thus the 'stretched' texture)
I was too lazy to inflate them.

| QUOTE (Ash_735 @ Monday, Aug 27 2012, 03:02) | That's the first time I've ever seen those, where were they used? I also have those art pics, sadly the ones I have don't have the legs either but it looks like a longer view than the one you've used. | I just made them myself one hour ago. I wanted to HQ beachball.dff, but then I came to the idea to do this instead. Still, I will retexture another version that looks like beachball.dff texture.

I don't recall ever seeing that Promo Item around here, where were they offered or were they given out at some expo?

I won a competition once from gtagames.nl,
See here, (I'm Blastov, Blast- er\ov)
Also came with some more goodies (photo not taken by me). I only lost the VCS key chain thing, rest is stacked up safely.
To compete, you 'simply' had to make something gta related, didn't mather what medium it was.
I made a mod, you can still find it here with the rest of the people who won. Actually it's pretty terrible when I look at it now.
