hi people just read another thread and saw that people wonder what to buy. i own all three and can tell you:

if you already have gta iv and eflc, complete edition is not necessary!! wink.gif

i asked rockstar via mouthoff, argueing because i don't want to waste money. my brother got himself the complete edition, but there is no difference only that the map is worse!! and the booklet is worse, too!!
you got much longer laoding times in the complete edition and you can't load from gta iv to eflc. last save in eflc? then forget about loading in gta iv because it will start right from the beginning!! orly.gif orly.gif dontgetit.gif dozingoff.gif

i also asked if improved graphics could be a reason for getting this and asked if they improved them. they replied with some well worn saying and pointing out that there is no difference in graphics but ht e whole gta iv experience in one disc. no better graphics or anything.

so people be aware, the booklet is worse. why? the credits are missing and there is no mentioning of the music!! notify.gif notify.gif

also you can't load between gta iv and eflc notify.gif notify.gif you might say:"whatever!" but it takes a loooong time instead and if you want to play the possible trinity in chronological order, it's annoying. you're faster with switching discs and won't have the quicksave-laoding problem.

so all in all:
if you do own gta iv and eflc, save your money. the complete edition is not better!!

why do some people think that the complete edition has better graphics anyway, really i'd like to know as I've never seen any comparisons or anything like that, there was a huge thread on here with the the argument over graphics being better but again that thread just boiled down to the typical F*** you the graphics ARE better cause I SAY SO bs.

I would like some proof or reasoning because the CE was just a repackinging to resell old games to people who may not had bought gta4 yet or where uable to download the dlcs, why would R* bother touching things up just for a re release? plus my other point IF they did improve graphics would'nt they bloody well say it to appeal to the graphic whores out there? i mean why improve something and not advertise it to potentially increase sales??

Yo bro, just buy or rent the damn game and check it for yourself if you have a PS3. I had both versions, the 2008 release-original and the Complete Edition, and I definitely noticed a slight difference and improvement in the Complete Edition (PS3).

I was the one who started that topic you were on about.

At least post screenshots and videos. There is no reason why graphics would be any different in the Complete Edition...

The purpose of the Complete Edition was only to package everything together. I don't think they did anything with the PS3 version except develop the front end to load both GTA IV and EFLC from one disc. They definitely didn't do anything with the 360 version which is literally the two discs they sold separately now in one box.

The only real choice to think about is between disc and DLC for the episodes. GTA IV + DLC combines all the radio stations (except for EFLC exclusives) and gives you the fastest way to switch between games. TCE/EFLC gives you exclusive radio stations and doesn't mix the episodes' music and IV's music if you prefer that. TCE/EFLC also has a newer version of TLAD than the Xbox 360 DLC version (TLAD DLC map is an intermediate development between GTA IV and TBOGT and is not compatible with EFLC multiplayer).

YOU DON'T GET IT DO YOU?
The complete edition has no better graphics! Show us the difference. Even Rockstar Games confirms this. Why do you try to make us believe it has better graphics when this is simply lying!!!
