Well, I tried to make it as GTAish as possible. The small girl isn't exactly an innocent, playful child. And even so, I made sure she wasn't actually harmed.

It was just my idea of one of the many possibilities the woods could offer in GTA. I hope hillbillockstar mix the overall creepiness of RDR onto the modern GTA setting for V, on an even more advanced level.

This can be easily done through random events and encounters. They could be something much more focused and riveting if choose to go along with them. Rather than some idiots wife being hung for fiftieth time today. But keep the simple ones in too, but no so god damn frequent.

Myth Of Bigfoot - On that big hill possibly mountain chillad ,forest, be bigfoot , at daytime he could be seen from far becouze going further could may warn himself and he start to run or attack you ,at night time he could walk around where he wants , and make some big noises hearible in whole mountain , would be hard to kill , he could kill you from 2 hits.
He could appear far from roads or when you driving a car in nightime and its something like offroad and no cars , bigfoot could run though road and make it scary looking.Or even appearing on road infront your car and wont move , then you try to overrun , it could damage a car , if you try to stop and run reverse he could start going into you ,after a while runing.

The wild manhunting creatures/humans - (if anyone had seen wrong turn 1,2,3 ,Something In The hills or Hills have eyes) as you know there is idivids,psyho's killing people by trapping them.
So there could be place in Big forest then you could see from far a driving that old mechanic truck (almost like in gta sa) near by old wood house in forest , going further you could see that truck driving into some kind of lake
If you went into that house , the doors could lock down by itself , from another room you could hear some walking steps,there would be some kind of closet where you can hide if you climb into it the psyho couldnt see you then ,and sudenly psyho runs out from the house by leaving all doors unlocked and if you run from that house you could hear psyhos laugh and 3 automatic rifle shots.

UFO/ALIENS - at 00:00 - 5:00 at the sky by being in city or anywhere you could see lights in the sky by being at one place and after few seconds they are in another, there could be tv channel that talks about ufo's and secret military base
going into another side of big hill you could find crashed Ufo, and hear some understandible whisper's or talks , there could be entry into downhill through rocksides , there be some kind of aliens place they could surround you by standing from all sides , to kill them you need to find a secret base weapon some sort of laser/blast gun.Also they could run aroun in forests

Secret military base - it could be found on big hill or in desert/forest place surrounded by big fence and terminated area for public , it could be only croosed if you sneak up through some places , other way you will be shot down ,
Base could be working with aliens / or against them . In base you would be able to find laser/blast gun , heavy tank , hydra
and bomber plane which actually be able to drop big bombs

I'd like to see some really weird stuff lets just say that. I hope the country gets more rain than the city and it gets verrry dark at night, that would be fun. I'd like to see some deer and stuff and at night you can accidentally run into it.

Perhaps once in a while going through the forest you see a silhouetted figure at a distance appear and then disappear over the crest of the hill.
Old rusty bombed out cars.
Shot up signs.
Hunters.
Cows and sheep.

All those good things.

Would be nice if the forests had a bit of atmosphere to them.. Like people camping and trekking. It was a nice touch to see people doing yoga in middle park in GTA IV. Also having some creepy caverns with hidden items would be cool. And not forgetting the wildlife which will really add to the atmosphere...

I want the woods to make me feel like I was literally lost:

-Regions with so many trees that you can't get your car into them and have to go walking

-Abandoned (or not) wood houses (cabins) and old car / plane wreckages

-Recreation zones with wood tables & stoves, sometimes with people, and people with bonfires and tents at night

-Natural tunnels in rural footpaths, with water leaks falling on the ground

-Water streams with bridges that are visibly old

-Fog at night that looks extremely realistic when lit with the lights of your vehicle

-If they include animals... please not animals that attack you... I couldn't have a relaxed walk in the forest in RDR because suddenly a bear appeared and killed me (very annoying and very creepy).

OT: I think there should be a long broken road deep in the forest where at the end there's a stream of water that is crap-infested that if you try to get across, you'll die due to poisonous effects. But then a little path with knocked down trees would be revealed, leading to a stretch of land going across the stream, and back to the broken road, leading to a campsite where beneath the trees, is a cave. If going inside this cave, there's lots of rocks and some bats. You'll be able to push some rocks out of the way until after some maze-like elements of the cave, there's a rock you push that leads to a huge cavern with weapons, armour, health, and a buried treasure worth $200,000. That'd be awesome. Of course, in the way there'll be bears, deers, a lot of animals, some attacking your vehicle, mangling it like the APC would to a car in TBoGT.

She appeared to be holding something. Still within the edges of the surrounding woods, he creeped closer to get a better look. Snapping branches beneath him didn't deter him. He had got the girls attention. She quickly pivoted round and started sprinting towards him in a direct and demonic fashion across the pier and towards Luke. She leaped at him, revealing her one of fifty shades of grey, terrifying face, relentlessly screaming at him. She had a serrated edge held high, she lunged it into his chest. Luke pushed her away in pain and she ran back to the lake and threw herself into the fog covered water. He struggled to get up, on to his feet. Before he could assess what had just happened, howls of coyotes or wolves or even his mother echoed behind him. He definitely had to find a safe place to rest, fast. By the pier there was a cabin. He got there as quickly as he could. He stepped inside and closed the door behind him. He found the inside nicely accommodated his needs for the night ahead. It was warm, lit and the bed seemed juuuust right. As he was about to lie down and save his progress, He heard a noise from outside. The girls face appeared in one of the windows. She smashed her face through the glass and proceeded to smash the rest of the windows in the same swagger. Finally the door blew open and blistering wind entered the room. Luke backed himself against the wall, terrified of what the girl might do as she strolled her way through the doorway from the side. "SOMEBODY'S BEEN SLEEPING IN MY BED!" If anyone one would like me to continue this, I will. How's that for the GTA V woods?

I was thinking of this too. Perhaps R* should do parodies of those films like The Shining, or Army of Darkness.

But I wouldn't want it to be a completely random event, which would make a journey through the woods annoying (and creepy as hell). Instead, maybe designate certain secluded areas, like abandoned warehouses/hotels, and some cues before it occurs.

woodcutters , doing sh*t and trucks near by transporting wood , creepy lake and small scary house with some misterious eastern egg , bigfoots , ghost hunter eastern egg like going into woods in some kind of place and you can hear old rifle shots and some creppy noises,deers, beavers ofcourse

If they do put beaters out in the woods like they did in SA, there should be like a 3% chance that the one you get in houses a psycho killer that jumps from the back seat and kills you while you start the engine. That would be funny, especially if someone else was playing.
