Yeah, I'm on Youtube, watching the V trailor for the millionth time and that 20 mil view is coming!
Considering it has gotten a F*CKING SH*TLOAD of views more then IV that means a lot more people are pumped up for V. So that means a huge fanbase, which R* really, really, REALLY, would want. Anyway heres a snippy from the trailers page:

Well, really only 19 million if you don't count your 1 million views.

You really shouldn't compare the views to GTA IV's trailer, though. Things are a lot different these days. YouTube is far more popular and sites like Facebook and Twitter have changed the way info or hype spreads.

cod will always sell big, it sucks to think a game as bad as cod released every year sells as much as a GTA game which is released once every 4 or 5 years.

YouTube was Activision's main point of distribution for the trailer, whereas with Rockstar I would say a large portion of their views occurred on the day of release on newswire where they hyped it with a week long countdown. The trailer wasn't put on YouTube until later in the day, so a lot of people I would say just went on to newswire around its initial time of release. So we don't have GTAV's real numbers. But ask yourself where you viewed it first, and consider most mainstream audiences only viewed it pretty much once or twice when it came out on newswire.
