Absolutely, yes! GTA is one of the few games I would be compelled to finish to the very last percent. Of course there will be a 100% achievement, and I'd call myself something of an achievement whore, but I would still complete everything even without an achievement.

I never cared to complete 100% because the rewards weren't worth the trouble and I don't care about pride when it comes to gaming. However, in GTA: Vice City, I got my only 100% and it was wonderful. I loved Vice City's rewards.

For the 100% rewards in GTAV, I hope to see.....

-the ability to recruit armed associates (like in VC 100%)
-unlimited ammo (can still use reloading animation if you press the button)
-entirely new exotic car of some sort
-discounts on all purchases
-unlimited sprint

*And if R* is really feeling over the top....unlimited breathe underwater (if underwater is back which I seriously doubt) leading to a secret underwater luxury safe house too deep to explore without this achievement. The safe house has it's own set of missions where you work for the super paranoid highly intelligent owner Mike Toreno. You ask him if he ever leaves "this place" and find that he's grown agoraphobic and trusts no one. He has Alzheimers too. He gives you the typical conspiracy theory gibberish and you do more secret missions for him including a mission identical to one given to CJ where you find that it's just Toreno's Alzheimers acting up. Before he dies from his failing health, he gives you access to his secret underwater/underground road tunnel forking out to a remote desert and the Port of LS. In this tunnel is a unique exotic car from the 90s. monocle.gif

...But hey, I'm no Dan Houser or anything.

Yes, i hope they bring back better rewards for completing certain things.. like back in the GTA III era.

IV lacked the rewards to do things that you didn't have to do, unless your going for 100%.

i gonna try to achieve 100% for sure...with gta iv it was the first time i started this and in the end it was quite hard and took some time but its was just awesome, especially to see the '100%' in your stats biggrin.gif

but ill first play the singleplayer, have some fun, side missions and do some adventures in the countryside..ill probably do the 100% very late

Yeah, sure. I'm deffinitely going for it, once I have the game in my hands.
I already reached the 100% with zero cheats with III, VC, SA, VCS, LCS and I'm currently trying to complete GTA Advance and Chinatown Wars.

That's just the way I play: I play for the 100% in every game I get my hands on... and I don't use any cheats. I play it hard! smile.gif

I have never gotten 100% in any GTA but I have enjoyed doing some of the tasks such as find all hidden packages, complete all stunts/jumps. I like the way they provide something extra to do when all missions are complete.

I will strive for 100% completion in V. I have never actually made it yet. I tend to make bad decisions early on that stop me from getting 100%

Hopefully there will be a list of everything needed for 100% in V early on to help.

I won't do it for the rewards. I can't see the point of most of them. If you have completed the game then what is the use of unlimited ammo or extra health. You might as well just use a cheat at that point.

I got 100%in San Andreas but gave up in IV for because of the sorry-ass miserable rewards they offered. Sorry Rockstar, I play games for amusement not to tear my eyes out doing boring tasks, I already have a job and real life exists.

No, I usually can't be bothered. I ignore achievements as well. I have played it a lot, enough to get to 100 a couple times over probably, but going for 100% forces you to play it a in a way I don't like. Like shooting the pigeons or doing a mission this or that way to get a trophy or whatever. Especially when there's no skill involved.

Rewards aren't going to do it for me either.. who cares if I get a golden gun at the end of the game: it's the end of the game.

Nope I have never even achieved 100% in any GTA game and usually don't care about that stuff anyway. I don't have the patience to find every flying rats and packages and so on. Especially the flying rats were hard to even notice. My best achievement is 93.50% in Chinatown Wars and I think I had 80%+ in San Andreas but that's it.

For sure man! I've 100%ed San Andreas one time, IV like 2-3 times, TBoGT one time, right now I'm 100%ing Vice City, there's a remote possibility that I 100% VCS, but I don't have III or LCS.

I don't know if I'll 100% GTA V in the first playthrough... because to get it I'll probably have to look up the checklist on the internet, and I don't want to spoil myself the stuff in the game y'know, not in the 1st playthrough.
