A Huge Thanks goes to Swoorup who has just managed to Rebuild Vice City's entire path system, it has taken him many months of hard work to get this far, the coding is still not 100% complete with a little more still to do but it has reached a stage where we can get them spawning in every city. State Of Liberty New map-wide path fix

I decided to release this since there's no one posted this earlier. Its the new traffic and paths system integrated into State Of Liberty. By installing this package you should be able to get sol pedestrian and vehicle traffic running all over the map, San Andreas, Liberty City and Vice City notably.

Instructions for installing:
  1. Download and unzip the root files into your sol installation directory.
  2. Delete any existing path data from the gta_vc.dat file.
  3. Add the following to your gta_vc.dat file.
    IPL data\paths\pathAI_LC.ipl
    IPL data\paths\pathAI_LS.ipl
    IPL data\paths\pathAI_LV.ipl
    IPL data\paths\pathAI_SA.ipl
    IPL data\paths\pathAI_SF.ipl
    IPL data\paths\pathAI_VC.ipl
  4. Run your game through game-run.exe
Changelog:
solcore 0.1a
•major patches for the paths are completed and the game is playable with paths.

solcore 0.2a
•fixed game hangs when the player goes to Liberty City.

solcore 0.21
•went full screen, removed Debug messages from appearing.

solcore 0.22
•fixed a minor issue with path algorithm, it is unnoticeable in the game though.
•fixed file memory management issues with sol_log.txt.
•fixed some amount of lags due to the path objects spawning.
•minor fix for street vehicles, players don't have to enable MIAMITRAFFIC cheat anymore.
However, it should be noted that street vehicles don't follow the traffic lights.

This is a massive update for the project for a very long time, Well done indeed.

I know the paths are not 100% done but what I have seen Swoorup, You have to be very proud of what you have achieved.

This project is about bringing out greatness from those who have or have yet to contribute, This is the right place to showcase great achievements.

Thank you smile.gif I think, I am almost done with the paths. Rest will be just minor additions for getting SA alike system, like how some vehicles halt to a house, farm or building and the drivers walks away.

This is great guys I only had the PC Version of SA a month ago but seeing this mod made me invest in purchasing III and VC. I can't wait to see the SA version.

We dont actually plan any release dates for the mod, it is just when we accomplish something or a big task and feel it is time to be released it gets released, at the moment we are completely restructuring the game, as you might have seen we are combining models, renaming everything and just generally cleaning everything up, so I imagine that when thats done it will be released.

(We are doing the above things to allow a smooth port to San Andreas)

Great notice! Do you think you can indicate the .exe to save gta_vc.set inside the data folder instead of My documents in future releases?

Its an idea since windows 7 stuffs up old games that try and save data to /user/blah..

I wonder who still has XP?

Many modern games and applications still saves its data to docs so I don't see any problems here.
On the other hand I always prefer savegames in game's folder.
Many users still use XP, especially ones without high-end hardware & videocards that can handle new DX11 games and don't have proper drivers for old games. For my friend with notebook major reason for migrating on 7 was stupid Nvidia's Optimus technology that didn't let to use not integrated videocard. I'm sick of holly-wars & XP bit*ing, just wanted to say that many users still satisfied with this old system.

I was satisfied by it too. Now I use.... VISTA! and it's FINE!
But yeah, still has XP on older PC. Not gonna change it.
