Hi 'gain

I posted somewhere that my install of EfLC is crashing, it's freezing, loading elements slowly; texture and music, as well as two BSOD instances, one of which, or two of three I think.... Invalid Page Fault, and one was out of video memory error. Not sure but a reboot was necessary in all but one crash. I still can't run this game, but GTA IV works, this at least proves that the Episodes DLC is even worse for PC users then GTA IV is!

I believe because I am above the specs on the box, perhaps the Power Supply for the Small Form box is just lacking enough for the 3D ATI Radeon card I'm using?? The HD5450 with 1GB video memory, add to that, 3GB of system RAM. For XP, with SP3, should be well within spec. IIRC, the PSU is under 200 watts, or 250watts maybe, Will check. It's notable that the GX620 is available in the tower size casing, but it would be a shame to move up to a bigger case with the same hardware, however, perhaps there's a custom PSU option?

I'm also tryiong all prior GTAs on this same machine. SAN AN works pretty well, but there are single moments of freezing here and there... Not sure what that is either. The OS is in the background connected online for Games for Windows Live as well as Social Club access and updates dynamically

If you're receiving BSODs, there's something fundamentally wrong with that machine, something beyond GTA.

This pc has a pentium d processor, which is about half as powerful as a core2duo of the same clock speed, so it is below system requirements for the game. A pentium d at 3.6Ghz would be minimum equivalent.

I think you are lucky it plays gta 4 ok, eflc may be a bit more demanding. Blue screens can be difficult to diagnose. Could be ram, psu, cpu, hdd or graphics card. I would check ram with memtest86 and prime95. Psu may be an issue so you could try substituting. Run checkdisk. I had to increase voltage at stock speed on my graphics card to get it stable, but i doubt you have that option. Lower settings particularly textures and shadows might help.

All in all though, you should get a better machine if you enjoy this game. An xbox would be heaven after playing on that, i would think.
