Going through Australia's coldest patch of weather for the year. Thankfully when summer comes and we have those 40C days that i have a very very cool place to live, i won't even notice the heat when i am inside.

Yeah, it's a whole order of magnitude colder than it should be. Sounds like I should vacation out east.
Saturday was ridiculous out here. Was showing 37 degrees with the humidex. Wasn't quite that hot today, but some pretty intense thunderstorms did roll through. Gave us marble sized hail. Every day for the remainder of the week is supposed to be 30+ degrees too.

I bet, what with all the polar icecap melting and all. One link I came across in the WA Post I believe, all slanted toward a Biblical wake up call, The end times are still upon us?!?
Have a hard time believing mere words? Perhaps the smell of your skin burning would aid you?? haha

Its supposed to go up to 95 degrees in Toronto on Friday. This is somewhat rare for Toronto's climate. Every single time the temperature exceeds 80 degrees the mass media is on it like a fat kid on a Happy Meal boasting the negative effects of excessive heat, air pollution, and the dangers of heat stroke.
Toronto actually favors relatively well in comparison to many American cities in terms of average air quality. This is partly due to the darling liberals closing down all the coal power plants replacing them with wind turbines that actually manage to increase our dependance on foreign oil and send our hydro bills up 6X.

Here in Ohio, the grass is all dead. We get bouts of 90°F+ for a week or two, then we get downpours for day. Then it starts over again. The heat index is 105° today no clouds, and yesterday was a complete f*cking monsoon. The power was out for two hours, and my power NEVER goes out
We have recently gotten electronic highway signs, and every single one is warning against tossing out lit cigarettes, simply because it WILL blaze up the grass in no time. I am in a Fourth of July parade today, and I am dying...
EDIT: Last year, we had ONE day above 90, we have already gotten 15 so far THIS year. Last winter, we had a total of two inches of snow...
TWO f*ckING INCHES OF SNOW IN OHIO!
We usually get two snow days from school a year, not TWO DAYS OF SNOW ALTOGETHER!!

It's 90°F right now where I'm at, and it's supposed to stay that way for a while. Honestly, I don't mind the heat, but what always gets me is the humidity. Anything over 50% makes it almost unbearable to go outside, and even makes it hard to sit inside sometimes.

We had this happen here in New York last summer, I hit a speed-bump sized buckle in the road at 55mph. It was terrible.
