A radio station dedicated to underground/alternative west coast hip-hop would be dope.

I'm telling you man, that's a sure thing.

K-DST got it pretty much spot-on with atmosphere. Particularly the Rod Stewart and Bowie. I don't know how they fitted so well, they just did.

Yeah K-DST was my radio of choice when speeding my tuned Jester through the desert roads of Las Venturas...

I will find a country it's legal to marry innanimate objects in, if Brand New is featured ANYWHERE in the game.

They're truly amazing, simple.

But besides that, just more like Radio Broker, they had some damn good songs.

Radio Broker and Liberty Rock Radio with the songs added in TLaD were great, I'ld like to see stations like these in GTA V.

I liked Radio Broker's DJ aswell, she was funny.
Hopefully we'll get another funny DJ with the next indie rock radio station in Los Santos.

My only concern with the style of Radio Broker is that it seemed very 'New York', if you get me, in terms of style. I don't think it could work as well in a Californian setting. I'd much rather see attention paid to the classic rock. Rockstar should look to The Big Lebowski for inspiration when it comes to music and atmosphere.

I'm not really bothered if the station doesn't fit in. It's only a radio station.
You don't think of New York and then think of LCHC or Fusion FM, do you?

I liked Saints Row 3's way of listening to music. You could set up a "mixtape", and select your favorite songs from every radio station, and listen to them in a playlist. It takes away from the "real life" vibe when listening to the radio(commercials and whatnot) but it would be a nice feature to have once you've listened to all the radio stations..

It's too bad Saints Row 3's soundtrack was a hit-and-miss. Although some stations were good such as the Adult Swim station and The Mix 107.77 (80s tracks like Stand and Deliver, Epic and Birds Fly were a good addition), most of the other stations had a subpar selection of songs from mostly obscure artists I'd never heard of. They obviously didn't use a large budget when it came to music licensing.

I also thought the Mixtape feature was a bit crap as well. It was cool that you could have a playlist of your favourite songs from the game, but you couldn't shuffle them around so you'd just be getting the same order of songs played each time you loaded your game. You couldn't even import your own songs in the game which is a lacking feature in sandbox games recently.

I see your point and raise you another:

I want the music to fit the atmosphere.

I never listened to LCHC on IV.

But I typically listened to whichever station felt to match the atmosphere of the game. As Niko I played a lot of Radio Broker, LCC, those stations. But for BOGT I mostly listened to the dance/electro stations (even though they're not my thing) because I felt they fitted the mood better.

I want the radio stations this time around to fit better the tone and atmosphere of the game. I want them to work much more like a soundtrack (like Ogden's Nut Gone Flake does in the trailer) this time around. Thinking of the Small Faces I often think of Itchycoo Park (though it's not a good representation) and there's no way in the world I would have expected that to fit in with GTA. But the trailer sort of proves that the atmosphere for the game can be broad and accommodate all kinds of styles and genres without breaking it. I know choice is nice, but I want the package to feel much more consistent as a whole.

Am I the only one who wants to hear Fernando Martinez again in GTA V ?

I always thought he was a funny guy. It would definitely be nice if Emotion 98.3 returned in GTA V, with songs like these:

REO Speedwagon - Can't Fight This Feeling
Whitesnake - Is This Love
Foreigner - Cold As Ice
Barry Manilow - Mandy
Europe - Carrie
Bad English - When I See You Smile
Bad English - Straight To Your Heart
KISS - Forever
Heart - Alone
Firehouse - When I Look Into Your Eyes
The Police - Every Breath You Take

If this were in GTA V, I would shed a tear of happiness (OK jk, but listening to Fernando again would be awesome biggrin.gif )

I would like to be able to hear Country Music again, when driving on the open roads, away from the city.
However in SA, it felt strange as CJ, to drive around listening to country music.

R* always did a great job on music and radio stations.
As much as I love the IV radio stations, I think the BEAT and CLASSICS were lacking something.

I'm not the kind of player who is obsessed with Hip Hop and Rap and only bumped Radio Los Santos in San Andreas, I enjoy all kinds of music. But the Beat and Classics didn't live up to its potential.

Classics was way too short, even though there are tons of artits who could've been on there.
The Beat in IV was okay but definitely sucked in EFLC.

I hope all radio stations have the same length and variety like The Vibe, Liberty Rock Radio and Vladivostok FM.

Also, the Hip Hop station shall include Los Angeles' and Cailfornian classics like Eazy-E, Above the Law, E-40, 2Pac...but well, other songs of course.

Maybe:

Eazy-E: "NOBODY MOVE", "ANY LAST WERDZ", etc

Above The Law: "Never missin a beat", "Call it what you want", ... etc

2Pac: "How long will they mourn me", well, a ton of songs could fit.

But I honestly hope R* pulls out songs we don't expect. This was done with IV, I hardly knew any song, but the soundtrack was raw, the best in my opinion.
