Unfortunately most of us regular and respectful users have just learnt to deal with these morons that post all the sh*t you just described. The fact is, the longer the wait for new information, the more morons we're gonna get! This thread won't change a thing. And lets face it.. most of this sh*t is posted by users that join this forum on the day of their post! - the f*cking trolls.

We get hounded all the time about the spam rules (although I still don't see the problem with 'spamming' a SPAM THREAD thats OBVIOUSLY going to get shut down.. but thats just me)

fact of the matter is, we're always gonna get trolls/ spammers/ utter C*nts. As I said above, the true members of the community (this great commnity) just have to deal with it. It's the internet. sh*t like this will always happen.

That topic helped alot of people have some fun instead of complaining. But most importantly it directed all the spam into one place. Plus is was a reference to a previous topic before GTA V was even announced when the entire forum was trying to solve a mystery, so it was nice to have a topic like that again, but as usual people couldn't appreciate something like that and ruined it. It wasn't the staff who were spamming.

I think almost every other Forum site has way stricter rules than this one. Honestly the only thing I see in these Forums are spam and hundreds of locked threads. I understand its just a Forum but it has been getting really messy recently.

When I first started going to neogaf, I was pretty shocked at how draconian their rules were and how quick they were to ban people for the slightest f*ck up. But after a while I realised, it does make it a much better place to hang out than most forums. Swift, harsh bannings do wonders as far as getting people to behave themselves. Just sayin'.

You know, when I first signed up to this forum, Ryan was a dick head to me because he was only locking threads. Now, after spending 3-4 weeks, I understand him and fully support him. Some members are just retards using old jokes on the internet and only want to spam. Which is a waste of everyone’s time and efforts

He wasn't talking about the forum itself. The people posting retarded comments and spamming the place made this forum a sh*thole. Before the days of the GTA V announcement and the influx of idiots the forum was full of great discussions and concept threads and general excitement and speculation about GTA V. Much like it is now, except for the most part people respected eachother and didn't act like idiots.

It may be a forum dedicated to video games, but there are still rules and policies. This isn't 4chan or reddit where everything goes. We have our rules and policies and expect people to follow them, otherwise they go bye bye. That's how it is and it's not going to change.

Well its not really making a huge fuss about it, hes simply posting guidelines and making certain points clear that are unclear to others. This forum section is like a middle school classroom sometimes and there's no hurt in trying to keep the place civil. And to say that theres too much kiss assery is just a cynical statement. You're saying that people can't do their part in helping without being labeled? Honestly I dont think anyone would want to be a mod, its the equivalent of being a teacher in middle school, with no real perks behind it. I was an mod turned admin of another forum before and it was a pain in the ass dealing with so many dumb people...
