Hello Friend I finally saved my money to buy a new CPU ,a ram cooler and a new cooler master fan for my graphics card for maxing out gta iv to very high settings. I went to the shop and brought a epic CPU-
Intel® Core ™ 2 Quad Q9650 3.00ghz
Now I have finished all the upgrades as far as my motherboard can go.

So I booted my pc and and turned on speccy and saw that my all parts temperature was 30-35c
and my windows 7 was like a jet after installing new CPU

So now i went to nvidia control panel and overclocked my GPU To
GPU Clock- 1000mhz/ default 810 mhz
Memory clock - 900mhz/default 533mhz
Shader Clock- 2000mhz/default 1620mhz

And then i saved it and opened gpu-z and saw that my gpu temo is now 40-45 c

OK now i launched GTA IV and after the loading screen ended i went to option and set everything to very high and resolution at 1280x768 and i hit enter and you will not belief that
everything fine even at resource usage 1629/2012 mb

And then i started gta 4 and it loaded as normal and i started the game
and now the most shocking thing is that i minimized gta 4 and opened GPU-Z and it was showing that my gpu temp is 48 c and i am totally shocked by seeing this and then i opened core temp and saw that my cpu temp is 40 c and then i opened speccy and saw that my ram temp is 42 c and then i closed all this and maximized gta 4 and started benchmark and the following result came-
Average FPS- 46.55 fps
Everything to very high
and cpu usage- 33 % !!!!!!! cool.gif cool.gif cool.gif
and system memory usage- 48%

I closed benchmark and started gta 4 and you will not belief that i played gta 4 for 3 hours without any issue.
So I want to say that those people who say that NVIDIA GT 520 2GB is a crap GPU it is totally wrong If you have a quad core CPU and a 4gb ram and you replace the gpu's stock
fan then you could play gta 4 at max settings for more that 2 hours.
So you just need to invest a little money to make your pc a gaming pc.

So the people who say that NVIDIA GT 520 is a crap card those are just wrong icon13.gif icon13.gif icon13.gif

My PC Spec:
CPU- Intel® Core ™ 2 Quad Q9650 3.00ghz
RAM- 4GB DDR2 800mhz
Graphics Card- Zotac® NVIDIA GT 520 2GB
PSU- 500watt

Well IV and EFLC are more CPU demanding than GPU demanding. That and you're running at a resolution that's more intensive on the CPU than the GPU.

Make sure your PSU is of good quality (reliable brand/manufacturer) and make sure that your video card is not artifacting (use Furmark).

But other than that, congrats! Enjoy the game bro. smile.gif

A GT 520 is a crappy GPU, you just overclocked it like crazy and this game isn't thát GPU-intensive sigh.gif
Besides, that CPU is fine for playing IV (though maxed out sounds a bit too good to be true) ...

If you're pleased, that's the most important thing, but I still wouldn't recommend anyone to get that GPU. Not even for intermediate gaming.

^ this. I don't (and won't) believe it's able to max out GTA4.

No, no and no.

I don't believe this guy for a bit. Get some video with proof that your PC is running with a 520.

It's just that he's using the benchmark tool which is extremely inaccurate, in reality, he must be getting 15-30 fps maxed out on that hardware

Get an EVGA GTX 560 TI (1GB if you want the cheapest) and Intel Core i5 2500k. The Intel quad 2 is terrible for new games.
You'll get 30-40 FPS outside and 48 FPS inside.

Yeah, those CPUs fit perfectly on the c2q boards. If you have a hammer on standby.

Though he has a point, i5-2500k definitely is a better value for money than the old Q9650.
