I'd like to be able to enter SOME buldings, like fire stations, police departments, city halls, shopping centers and so on. But not EVERY building, that would be dull and a waste of space.

I can't exactly take the poll options seriously.

While I think that it would be cool to have every building, or at least all public buildings, to be open at any time, I can't see it happening. I played the first Godfather game, and they tried that. All hotels were exactly the same. All bars were exactly the same. All stores were exactly the same. If R* found a way of making them all enterable without using repeated interiors and without taking 10 years to make the game, I'd be all for it. But I think that that kind of thing would be better suited to a game in a small town or something instead of a enormous city like LS.

So, I'd be grateful to have all mission interiors enterable, and maybe have some government buildings and stuff enterable, because it is better to have R* work on a bigger better city on the outside instead of modeling an interior I may never even see.

It's called RAM! Currently the Xbox and PS3 don't have enough of it.

yep , that's the Reason why they can't make every building a enterable , they can do it on PC .

maybe the next gen of consoles will make all the building enterable .

This poll is stupid, i did not vote.
I want to see more buildings that are enterable, but not every single one has to be, otherwise you just end up with generic interiors which makes entering buildings pointless.|

I would rather 50 enterable buildings with unique interiors, than a 1000 with generic interiors.

It is not really feasible to have every single building enter-able, too much work.

What, and development time does not enter in at all? Based off of relative importance to how much times it takes to make all the interior.

Though specifically referring to GTA V, they may have had enough time to render every interior in California if they had tried. Maybe.

None of the options reflect my opinion. I think that much more buildings should be enterable, especially the most important ones, such as the US Bank Tower, some of the hotels... also, I've always hated that in previous GTAs you couldn't enter again to a building that was part of a mission, if they bother to make the interior why not make it always accesible? It's like a waste of resources.

The case of RDR is funny, because it had much less buildings than a GTA (it was set in a 1911 desert), but I bet that at the very least 40% of the buildings were enterable, but then, when you tried to enter one and you found out that it wasn't enterable, you were like "so, why can't I enter this one in particular?!". So that will be a problem if they go for a similar percentage of enterable buildings, which I highly doubt, because LS will have so many of them that it just wouldn't be possible.

As for the rate I'd be happy with... between 10% and 20%, and for f*ck's sake, let us access the interiors anytime and not only during a mission!

Maybe in 10 years every building will be fully interactive and accessible but for now the consoles hold us back, yes I don't care how blunt that is it is true.

Now if GTA for the PC had this that would be awesome since most people like me could handle it on high-max settings. But this won't happen until 2 gens later in my opinion, next gen seems to be a small step forward while the PC hardware is literally speeding ahead.

All in all for now, realistically, 5% of the buildings will be accessible unless a better PC version is made instead of a PC version with the same features as the lackluster sh*tty console versions.

I would be happy if all the important buildings like the airport, police stations, city hall etc were enter able. And more than 1 nightclub/strip club should be in a city, at least 5 all enter able

Oh god, loading screens before getting into a place? This is Skyrim all over again....

If they can make places like hospitals and landmarks enter-able, I am ok with just that.

What the hell kind of poll is this? This is like asking do we want half of the game at launch or the full game at launch. Of course everyone will want buildings that you can enter. And if you don't, what the hell is wrong with you?

there should be an option in this poll, that would sound like this "yes, but not inside every building, maybe just inside some of them"...

Nothing wrong with me. Not the same can be said about my PS3. GTA does not use buildings a lot. Games like Skyrim do, but, to able to enter EVERY building, you have to add a loading screen after you enter/exit any building. Which was a major problem for me in Skyrim. It is not worth the trouble in this gen.

If we have to trade in loading screens for a full 100% accessible modern sprawling city I don't see what the problem is.

It really takes you away from the game. "Oh hey, I need to get into this place" * Opens door * " That took a lot of time! "

Hell, I always try to not enter any place, the loading time in Skyrim is very long because it is a very big game. GTA is about "feeling" the city not the f*cking loading screen.

You would not like it in GTA, believe me.

I'm all for it but I think just creating a fully detailed and unique interior for a skyscraper might take as much time and effort as creating the exterior of the whole of downtown LS itself.

Interiors are just that much more detailed. Imagine in malls, you have merchandise, decor, different floor, wall and ceiling patterns, etc. The exterior or "shell" of the building is just a hundred times easier to create. Even with little knowledge and no experience in making games, just play Sims 3 and build a gigantic house or something and tell me about it. Or compare fully filling up a house in Sims 3 and building a big city in SimCity and you'll appreciate the difference in detail between interiors and exteriors.

Also, let's not forget to mention scripting AI inside to go about doing appropriate things in different environments is just adding a sh*t load more burden to what it already would be.

Unless R* are willing to invest in A LOT more teams and devs dedicated to interior design, I'd be surprised to ever see more than 30% of buildings enterable... in any future GTAs for that matter.

I'd be more than happy if the buildings etc you've gone into for a mission, remain enterable, no need though to make every residence and building enterable.

Agreed icon14.gif icon14.gif .
Rockstar said this is going to be 'a very big map'. Being able to enter just about every building or most buildings in this game will take up a lot of space.

Gas Stations, nightclubs, casinos, clothes stores etc. I'd say just main stores/buildings that have activities inside it or things we are able to interact with. Along with being able to enter a building after it is featured in a mission.
