GTAV already feels outdated to me. after almost a year since the announcement trailer, it honestly feels like I am now waiting for GTAVI. As for that previous thread "what would you do if GTAV is cancelled?" I wouldn't really care, besides being slightly dissapointed.

How's that for building up hype.

Grand Theft Auto IV was announced in early 2006, a full year before they showed anything more after that. We were just spoiled this time round to have an announcement come along with a trailer. If they didn't release a trailer alongside the announcement, people wouldn't be saying all of these crazy things.

This is not a first for Rockstar. First Red Dead Redemption (video) footage was shown in 2005.

Rockstar manages to continuously find new reasons to post about Max Payne 3 on newswire, one day a random multiplayer event, other day gadgets, again other day ''pro tips'' for playing... In the mean time, GTA V gets full attention by these kind of articles being raised time after time, so they can keep this up for a long time.

Ah well, it's taking long, then again TDU1, TDU2 and Rig'n'Roll already prepared me for such long waits. Too bad it actually becomes a long wait though.

Max Payne is gonna need all the attention it can get, because after the story line all you have is multiplayer which had the lasting appeal of a month. If they release patches then maybe itll last a bit longer

Besides, I've cut back on this forum from 5 hours a day to about 1. The main reason I'm here is because of Rockstar's statement about getting lots of new info in a few months' time, that they said in February.

I thought you actually had a credible source which might even have spoken to some sort of R*/T2 representative about their marketing strategy for V.

But instead it's just that retarded "product-reviews" site again which is, once again, just writing up an "article" with nothing but the speculation you could have read on this very forum.

You have to realize that they just want to generate hits for their retarded site, just look through their other V posts which are mysteriously full of "oh people will google for this text string" bullsh*t to get you to visit their site.

They know nothing, they are nobody, they don't even have an opinion, they just quote sh*t from here and re-arrange it to fit their goal of getting hits.

No matter what folk think or say R* could just speak the words GTA V and people will be all over it. This long wait won't have any impact on sales and I'm sure R* know what they are doing.

I assume GTA V will be out April-May next year so we have quite a bit longer to wait for a second trailer. If I had to guess it'll be once all the Max Payne DLC is out of the way and that'll be around October.

It's clear only a small team are working on Max Payne 3 DLC and R* are just using that to try and give fans something while most of the team work on GTA V. If Max Payne wasn't out there then chances are you will be getting no information about anything at all

They could've strung us along with a little info here & there and get the same results. Probably better results!
