No doubt, I dont have as much time as I used to. may not be much of an excuse but I've already put alot of time into this game and want that 100%. Doesn't seem like too big a deal to me though for this game seeing as the AWP bug cheated me of many hours that I could have gone noosing for rank 10. but thats my oppinion. The modder word is just too big, there can be cool modders and evil modders. If the modder is some unknown guy who joins a public room, I wouldn't trust him. First weird move from him, he gets automatically kicked. Either that or I leave the game.

There have always been cheaters in GTA, glitchers fall in the same category as modders. Everytime I've noticed someone glitching inside a building, I've left game right after that.
It's obvious that the person who's cheating is a coward, otherwise he wouldn't have the need to resort to something unnatural.

In the other hand, if a friend is modding, I'd trust him. As I've said, there are many ways of modding. It's a game after all, and I don't think he'd mod to get a big advantage out of it. If it's just for a cool car with blue neons, or some ramps at the airport, I don't mind. But let's not go further than that. Driving dinosaurs, speed cars and those crazy things I've seen in youtube are just plain ugly.

New cars and new environments, buildings or even a new island, are the only things I'd allow as modding, things that don't get out of the thematic of the game. Unfortunately when you have the power to do the goodness and the badness, the bad side always wins.

TDMC are not role playing biker gang and i'm pretty sure ETHEREAL has got some good ideas of how mods could be used to add a little more fun to some things that already are fun, and not just some driving around the airport and other ignorant bullsh*t you like to spew out. GTA might be 4 years old, but still you can play a game, and things happen that you've not encountered before, it's still fun too, and I feel sad for those that no longer find any fun from it, I guess you lack friends to have a laugh with it on.

Did you read the ToS? Because if you did you should know half of youtube is breaking it. There's a strict rule against Posting video or image content with another PlayStation Network users Online ID in it.

There terms are a complete joke if you actually read it (and I did, all of it). They only ban over things they are able to control like Spam, Account violations (stealing/giving and account to/from another user), etc. Sony personally does not ban for modding on games themselves, in fact Treyarch attempted to report several users to Sony who were "exploiting" Black Ops and Sony basically made it a public announcement they would do nothing to punish the users, only the Game Provider will (in our case Rockstar).

And like I said before, Rockstar did not have any agreement so basically, there is no "cheating" going on here, by Rockstar rules, its all fair game on GTA IV.

Today I was playing Free Mode as usual, but then I saw some invincible gangsters in the airport runway. Then I saw someone operating a Green & Gold Annihilator, and I saw someone drive a Comet. Believe me, someone has figured out how to mod the PS3 and more people are beginning to do it.

It's called FREE MODE and I think all modding in Free Mode should be welcomed by the PS3 community.

Free Mode is a party mode. A mode for lols session and wacky stuff. Modding perfectly suits Free Mode.

Of course if you use Public Free Mode for PvP and as a competitive battlefield then you won't like modding.

well doc about 9/10 times there has been a modder he is usually killing everyone over and over again, the last modder i encountered was chasing this guys car so fast he was running like the mercury man from terminator 2 he then whipped his gun out while running and killed the guy. then he was spawning on everyone and killing them and he is invincible don't forget so its not really fair game, the only thing you can do is kick in a situation like that which has been successful most of the time.

but i agree it is nice to see cool cars you cant usually get and some funny things then it is ok

Even if its Free Mode its still unmodded Free Mode which means that this game mode does not allow mods, on PC there are modded servers for modders and unmodded for fair players but on PS3 there are only unmodded servers so its a problem, it may looks cool as long as they have just simple trainer and worst they can do is killing everyone with god mode, spawning explosions around them or spawning multiple buses to drop everyones fps but sooner or later someone will get evil trainer also for PS3 and will start auto teleporting to each player and aimboting on him, spawning Tug boats to drop everyones fps to 0, spawning explosions on every player, spawning money, attaching objects to other players, removing other players weapons, deleting other players vechicles, teleporting everyone to prison or kicking peoples out of their own servers....

Lol yeah. I just came back after not playing GTA IV for a while. I decided to play Mafia II. (It's like every scene is like that tragic scene where either Kate or Roman dies at the wedding) Anyway, I was playing a match with one of my friends, when I saw that there was a ramp. I never knew you could mod PS3, at least not like this. I saw a mod a while back that allows you to modify a gun, like pistols that shoot rockets, but that was only in Single Player. So that's when I saw someone using ramps and making them spawn in the middle of the airport. I was like, "wow this must be rare, I never saw this before", at first I thought it was cool, I played around on the ramps...
Until the next day it happened three times, I now see this happening daily and it's really getting on my nerves, even if you do report them there is just more and more. It's getting really annoying, pretty soon we are gonna end up like XBOX almost every game will be hacked.
EDIT: Oh yeah that reminds me. There were even some people floating around the map, shooting people without even taking out a gun, like the bullets shot out of their body, and you couldn't shoot them. It really is a shame..

At the beggining i thought modding was good, because Spawning special cars or helicopters Is not so bad, yea, but my opinion changed when ive seen mods having fun to ruin games with their cheats (god mode, Spawning explosion, aimbot, remooving weapons/cars/points, hacking leaderboards, etc... ) i Know ive already said it...anyway im asking every people who think modding Is good to watch what mods can do... Then ur opinion Will change... Well, normally!
