It rewards teams for playing sh*tty defense. If you let a player from the other team get past your last defender that's your own fault, and you should face the consequences. Hell some teams even do it onj purpose with the intent of drawing the other team offsides. I mean what kind of bullsh*t is that? Get rid of offsides in Euro football or at least have "zones" similar to hockey where you can't be before the ball, then soccer would be much better. However, as it stands now it is boring as f*ck. UMMM no defense use the offside rule as a strategy and push forward to play the strikers offside its clever defending. No, it's sh*tty defense, influenced by the retarded offside rule. If you let a player get by your last defender that is bad defense and you should face the consequences, get rid of offsides in (f*ck it) soccer, and it will be a much better sport, with more goals. Hell Lacrosse is a much better sport than soccer will ever be. You dont make the rules so shush, if they stopped the offside rule strikers could just be standing right next to the goal all game and goal poach, so think before you type.

Nope, it's simple, extend the top line from the box all the way to the sideline, and make it so that no offensive player can enter that area before the ball. The penalty box would remain the same size, just the top line would be extended to the sideline.

I like the idea of watching a sports game but for one reason, albeit highly unlikely. Imagine having a 40,000 capacity stadium. You launch a hand grenade into a small section of the crowd, and as it explodes - sending the spectators 20 feet in the air - the rest of the stadium erupts into a chaos of fleeing spectators, at which point you draw your 40 foot range flame thrower - cremating everyone in sight.

So you are saying whole Westeurope is poor and has not enough money for other sports? Dude, you are saying this argument against the richest countries of the world. Soccer the most favorite sport in Westeurope. Germany, Austra, Switzerland, France, Italy, England, all these countries would have enough money for any other sport activity, but the society does not want other activities. Even though there are other acitvities provided like American Football they aren't as often used as soccer.

Back to topic. I don't think there will be a live soccer or football match ingame. Maybe a cutscene on the TV, but not live. It would be too much work, so imagine that a whole game like FIFA can be released only with this sport, so GTA won't have it only as a minigame.

Yes and we have rugby instead of american football except we aint as padded up because unlike americans we aint scared to get hurt.

Hockey is not technically an American sport, it's Canadian.

My problem with American football is it's just so frustrating to watch. I mean you can't watch more than 4 seconds of action without play being stopped over and over again. It ain't the most smoothest/flowing game in the world is it?

We have Rugby in America too. My schools team just got second in state actually. But I kind of agree that it is less impactful than football. The hits really aren't as hard. Wasn't this proven on sports science or something? It just simply how the game is played that leads to softer hits. Football is more up and down with the players directly colliding for cortical field position. Rugby is more free flowing and the hits really aren't as hard since the player can just pass the ball off.
