it would be cool but i wouldn't be disappointed if it wasn't there, but i do want to see a football stadium, a equivalent of dodger stadium and staples center is something i really want to see. i was kind of bummed that that there wasn't a yankee stadium equivalent in IV
I used to play soccer. And lets be honest here. It can get boring as hell. Especially a full proffesional 90 minute game. I cant watch the whole thing with out taking breaks. Now basketball. Thats a sport.
Also those of you saying football pads are uneeded you're wrong. Football players take hits in full pads and still get injured. If they played with no pads and didn't hold back, people would get seriously f*cked up.

It's human nature to hold back. More injuries are caused in your version of Football due to helmet on helmet contact.
Things like this in GTA are a novelty which quickly wears off. Like sitting in the taxi and not skipping the ride like in GTA 4.

OP, I sincerely hope by "football" you meant American football because Soccer is ridiculously boring
DONT CALL SOCCER BORING, americans dont have good taste in sports and its football because you play it with your feet.
I usually try to stay out pf these arguments and respect people's tastes in sports. But I watched one of those Euro games on ESPN the other day and my god it was boring. It literally was nothing but running up and down a field with no real action. I'm not trying to start a flame war but just give my honest opinion. At least American football has action. You have to admit that OT: I don't think any full sports will feature in game or on TV. A waste of disc space if you ask me.
Yes and we have rugby instead of american football except we aint as padded up because unlike americans we aint scared to get hurt.
Except there is one difference, Rugby is more of a group hug than real hitting. Hence, why they don't wear pads.
Hahaha
Group hug...
We have Rugby in America too. My schools team just got second in state actually. But I kind of agree that it is less impactful than football. The hits really aren't as hard. Wasn't this proven on sports science or something? It just simply how the game is played that leads to softer hits. Football is more up and down with the players directly colliding for cortical field position. Rugby is more free flowing and the hits really aren't as hard since the player can just pass the ball off.
Still, that much padding is unnecessary. And, to the guy who said group hug: You haven't played rugby have you? You should see mine or any other rugby players' ears.
Now hits this hard aren't very common. But they demonstrate the difference between football and Rugby. In Rugby there is alot more emphasis on wrapping up and bringing down a player. In football its all about stopping momentum.
P.S: Don't say cauliflower ear is bad thing. I got it and its a badge of honor
I hate my cauliflower ear
Anyway, yeah, I see what you mean, kinda.
Mine isn't that really that big but i wish it was more pronounced. I just see it as a badge of honor and lets people know you are a wrestler or rugby player.
OT: I think it would be cool to have the in game version of the Lakers win a league championship at some point in the story and cause Downtown to enter into a riot. Creating a great opportunity for looting
Euro Football is better then american football and rugby is more dangerous then american football. Leave it at that.

Real Football > American Hand-Egg
On-Topic: that would be a great, football is obviously my favourite and i would really like to see a football stadium in GTA V, even if we won't be able to play in it, we could just go there and see a match and maybe there will be a mission based there?

I wouldn't mind if they introduced the possibility to play some football, handegg, basketball or whateverball. They touched on that in SA, but it was an rushed and incomplete attempt. Basically, you're walking down a back alley and some blokes are playing this xball, you join in and have some fun. Optional fun, of course. I bet that feature alone would provide for hours of fun to some people.

Americann handegg is the most boring sports in history, so what's your point? Anyways.. Aside from spanish teams, euro football is sometimes boring indeed but not all football matches are boring, check this out for example:
Soccer or Futball is a joke of a sport, When the best players are under 6 foot, and look like gremlins I cant take it serious.
I'm sorry, but what's wrong with being short? you're just making stupid excuses to diss real football, because you feel butt-hurt by the fact that it's million times better than your american handegg, and it's way more popular too
Fun Fact: More than 2 billion people follow REAL football religiously

Ok, this is turning into a Football Vs. American Hand-egg flame war.
