| QUOTE (mbunleashed09 @ Tuesday, Jun 19 2012, 21:52) | 28 year old.......Desmond Young is broke, lives in East LS deep inside a bad neighboorhood. Full of street gangs, drug dealers and hustlers. Des lives with Uncle Clyde Johnson (related to the Johnsons). Clyde used to be a grove st gangbanger, but doesnt like to talk about his past. Desmond's mom is in the hospital, and his dad was left him when he was 9 yrs old. So far his life has been rough and needs money for his mom, and for his landlord, West Irving. Desmond also "sorta" has a GF named Randy Garcia (kind of like a booty call). Randy pushes Des into selling drugs to make ends meet. Randy knows everything about the streets, considering her dad is a lieutenant in a gang. But Des knows how his uncle feels about "that kind of life." When Des goes to sleep he has a dream about what his life would look like if he doesnt join the streets. The next day, Des calls Randy and told he r he'll do it. 12:00 am, he begins running the corners, and night after night he gets more and more cash. Clyde begins to notice, and looks at Des and says,"Be careful out there." Des get bigger in the city, moving into a house on the Santa Maria Beach. Des begins to get cocky, and develops into well known street banger. Now he has bigger fish to catch, and gets in a feud with the LS drug cartel, and SA state police.
Background of red car guy 28 yrs old African-American Loves money, women, power | I like this one dude

Name: Ned Luke (for lack of anything better).
Age: 47
Bio: Hailing from the East Coast, he joined the Marines after high school and became a Hydra (Harrier) pilot after completing officer training. Served in the first Gulf War in 1991 but was dishonourably discharged after punching a fellow officer. This meant he couldn't find a regular civilian job. A year later he met some old friends who had a 'job' lined up and they offered him a cut and the promise of a position with them if all went well as his expertise with weapons and tactics from being in the Marines would be a great asset. The job in question involved robbing a drug shipment from some Mafia types. Due to his leadership the job went off without a hitch, eliminating a local criminal organisation in the process, setting up Ned and his old friends as a new criminal enterprise in the area. For the next 17 years (until 2011) everything is fine, the organisation goes from strength to strength with Ned often taking a central, active role in jobs due to it being a relatively low key operation (this helped to keep him in good shape). He finally decided that he had had enough of that life and as he had saved up a considerable amount (unlike his colleagues who had splashed it around on cars and clubbing etc.) he decided to retire out to LS with his wife and children.
After he leaves things fall apart back on the East Coast and the organisation loses power. His friends have lost their source of income and have no savings. They then feel that Ned owes them because they gave him a break all those years ago. They're also suspicious because the police and rival gangs came down on them very soon after Neds departure so think he betrayed them, so rather than asking for a small loan until they can get back on their feet (which Ned would have been happy to do) they plan to kidnap his family or just out and out rob him. Luckily another of Neds friends who has remained loyal to him forewarns him of this and Ned is able to safely get his family out of the country to go and stay with an old Marine friend who lives in Japan, while Ned stays to sort out the problem. When Ned is at the airport seeing his family off his old associates arrive and ransack his house, stealing a large amount of cash and torching his place.
This sets Ned back to square one with no easy way of getting to the rest of his money which is tied up in the Cayman Islands. He meets his gardener and goes to stay at his place in the ghetto, and from there get involved with local criminals to get revenge and start his way back up, and so GTA V begins...
(Maybe as a twist he could get 'revenge' on his old friends about halfway through, but due to events leading up to that he must continue on his new life of crime for some time more, rather than have the same antagonists throughout like in previous GTAs)
(Decided to have him with Military background as this will explain how he can fly a high-tech jet fighter and helicopters, have knowledge of how to parachute and know how to keep himself in good shape.)

WOW i like that a lot!!! | Yea man I like this too. Good motives and really sets the tone for working your way Back to the top. I like my story because watching a man go from nothing to everything and watching him get there through acts of desperation would be awesome

I don't think you've ever had a post that contributed to the discussion. That's why no one likes you | Word. x100
I kinda like these suggestions about a Mexican protagonist, I might be wrong here so feel free to correct me, but we haven't had a mexican protagonist before in the Grand Theft Auto Series.
Before anybody asks, I wasn't too serious about the female protagonist, I already have Saints Row for that I guess...
