Why does no one ever (not often at least) want to play Cops n Crooks with RPGs? If I do get a few games through with them on, it is only a matter of time until more people join any try to kick me. Then they send me messages calling me a ‘pussy’ or worse because I want to hide behind an RPG.

Well guess what, "yeah"! I like guns too sometimes, but sometimes it is fun to RPG everyone as it sets a different ‘pace’ the game.

I played over 3000 CnC games and never seen anyone complaining about RPGs - its favourite weapon of all CnC players I know

You play PC, it's different on consoles.

Disallow games, the RPG is a really effective weapon, too much in some ways. For that reason using it is considered cheap.

I normally set weapons to ALL, if people decide to use an RPG, then I try to counter it, by not being dumb enough to get cornered / using a vehicle to dodge. However if a player keeps picking them up to use only the RPG's, I'll soon set the weapons to standard weapons. I wish there was a weapon setting that had all the weapons, except RPG's though.

If that's what you meant then why did people call you a "pussy" for using the RPG?
obviously you weren't in an RPG-only match otherwise people wouldn't have said that.

happen to me last night, got blasted for asking for RPG.

I usually do standard. then smgs, shotguns or pistols. then ocassionally RPGs. I never do assault rifles.

my wish is to have a CNC brawl all melee fists. I can dream can't I?

untrue I got called the same names last night for askin for RPG only.

the only reason I hate all weapons is because sometimes RPG has too many spawns and the game revolves around that.

You mean the CnC match had weapons set to RPGs but they called you a pussy for not using your spawn weapon? (Pistol or SMG)

I never understood this. This kind of talk only started happening in the last couple years. If there is a weapon in the game, use the freakin thing. If you got shot with it, then your skill could not prevent you from being killed by it. If you do not want to play with a particular weapon then just use the options before starting the game.
The same goes for stuff like in your signature DarkKingBernard. If I am playing and I am looking for a weapon or pick up, then it is my decision not to encounter you if you are near me. Never understood this mentality in a shooter. It is called tactics. If you do not use them, then that is your decision but you are limiting your factors of either skill or fun of the game.

Okay, look at it this way. You spawn with a sh*tty peashooter gun that kills in five hits, two to the head. Someone can pick up a bigass stick that fires rocket propelled grenades at medium velocity, and this gun almost always dices you in one go. If it doesn't, you're still sure to fly halfway to Pluto and take 6 years getting up from the splash damage. Obviously this is somewhat exaggerated, but not as much as I'd like. The problem with the RPG is that one can spawnkill another repeatedly with it, especially if they happen to hunker down near an RPG spawn, for refills. What doesn't help is that the RPG reloads in a little over a second, effectively making it a pulsating deathcannon for anyone that isn't playing with their feet.

You can claim that tactically thinking, one shouldn't advance on an RPG user, and in most cases you would have a solid point, but say it's a 1v1, and the RPGer has the lead. He hunkers down in a long alleyway, ready to terminate anyone with the gumption to walk in. He's got sufficient cover, and sniping him is a no-go. What the hell is one to do?

To clarify, people call me names when I am the host and I want the game set at ‘RPGs only’,

I imagine this is because they are annoyed with me as I will only allow RPGs which means they can’t kill me with a rifle, however I can kill them easily with my RPG. In other words they take issue with me because they are otherwise masters at the game but their skill set does not allow for that if everyone is using RPGs.

That's the problem with rocket matches. it becomes less about skill and more about luck.
I like gunfights and driving around in vehicles, not repeatedly running to each other and dying in 1 second.
It just becomes repetitive and frustrating.

CNC is a game that requires a variety of guns, IMO. Setting the weapons to any single weapon really limits what you can do. Sometimes you need the smg for close up battles and people doing drive bys and sometimes you need a snipe to pick off a sneaky boss who thinks he is going to escape. What's annoying about rockets is that people don't use them for the occasions that a rocket could be useful. They become the primary weapon and you have six people all firing rockets 10 feet from each other and the game becomes a huge cluster f*ck of laggy sh*t. Or another problem is say I'll be having a shoot out against someone, then my teammate comes along with rockets and starts up a fireworks display sending me flying all over the map flopping and flailing for ten mins while I get shot and killed by the enemy. Good times lemme tell ya. Standard weapons have really grown on me and I thinks that's the best setting for CNC!

People, the Rocket Launcher is SUPPOSED to be an Anti-Vehicle weapon.

I have no problem if the RPG is used every now and then but if it is used as a primary weapon or used to destroy the escape vehicle then I get annoyed with the RPG user.

"RPG-only"-matches are boring.
Especially in cops and crooks. You are almost forced to destroy the getaway vehicle.

CNC could be a great game, if there weren't the very same spawnpoints of this getaway vehicle and people straight going for it.
