Why?...

1- Every major GTA in history has been aimed for Oct.

2- Bioshock:Infinite was pushed back to later this FY.

3- Lack of info (trailers,articles,etc.) from R* HQ in NYC has nothing to do with development progress in Scotland at R* North.

4- The GTAV trailer and MP3 easter eggs refer to significant dates/months. One is Dan Houser's birthday and one is October. (Police car and blue car license plates say Oct.)

5- The argument for any other month is just lack of info (invalid argument given the 3rd point above).

Agreed with every point except point 4. I don't know whether R* would place spoilers relating to release date in the actual game they're releasing.

Also - definitely October, not maybe October! And they wouldn't release two games inside 3 months.

I see what you mean, but it's not much of a spoiler. October has become almost a tradition for GTA releases and the month most affiliated GTA.

I'm thinking...

- If there are a variety of license plate months in GTAV, yet they chose only the October ones for the trailer, then it is definitely some sort of hint.

- If there aren't a variety of license plate months in GTAV (only October plates), then this strengthens the case.

- October is too frequent between GTAV and MP3 to be a coincidence. 2405 wasn't a coincidence either. It had significance as Dan's bday. It was just over estimated significance by the fanbase.

This trailer has been over-analyzed and beyond. I doubt license plates mean anything.

Don't waste time in just planning, rather get going. Being behind schedule will only mar your prospects and make the game look bleaker and sh*t. That's why a good start is to avoid playing Max Payne 3 (sh*t title) to avoid any detrimental effects over GTA 5 success. And if you do take the plunge, certain facts and truths could well surface on October 2012. Try to look beyond the immediate and you will have reason to rejoice.

Oh please, the only reason October is winning the poll is becasue thats the month people want GTAV to come out.
Noone knows the release date except Rockstar obviously so we can only speculate.


Strauss predicted excess of $2 per share for FY13 which means T2 are expecting GTA V this year at the earliest.

Bioshock infinite is coming in March which means that GTAV couldnt possible come out a month later in such a short space of time.

So if its coming this year in 2012 then October seems the best guess because thats the month all GTA's were released (barring GTA IV's delay) and ignoring any delays happening for V for the sake of this train of thought.

starting an intensive advertising campain in october or november + release in december, 2 or 3 weeks before chrismas = lots of copies being sold as chrismas presents, ergo lots of quick money for rockstar.

I voted October, even though I'm 90% sure we aren't going to see it come out this year. Its a shame really, because xbox 720 and PS4 will come to E3 next year and by then GTA V will be a thing of the past. Realistically either R* must market this game from sometime this month, or we aren't seeing it in fiscal 2013.

It can't be March 2013 because its too close to another T2 release, Bioshock infinite. So it's either october this year, or fiscal 2014. Maybe May 24th, 2013

October - November - December - January that are 4 months later in these 4 months they can make A lot of money more than with a 2013 release.

I voted December . Why? Well I just think they're going to start advertising it August...then when it comes around october, they start a very very intense advertising campaign. See that way they could shift the attention away from all those big releases in Octo-Nov. That would probably make ppl wait until it come out. That would be a great Christmas present. This is just my theory.
