Hi,
Here is the problem; GTA 4 runs well until I touch the keyboard. Every time a key is pressed the game laggs. I fixed that by turning "event logger" off but now I am getting an overall poor performance in the game.

Resolution => 1920x1080 (hdmi 1080)
The texture quality is set to medium,
reflection resolution=>high
shadows => medium,
no night shadows,
water => high,
view distance => 20,
detail distance => 25

My computer :
Phenom II X6 (1090t black edition) running at 3,9 gHz
HD Radeon 6870 1Gb GDDR5 (asus factory overclocked edition)
4 Gb of DDR2
Motherboard: asus M3A78


Is it normal ? Do I really need to get a graphic card with 2Gb of GDDR5?

what's the power supply? and what type of usb devices are connected to the computer?

I have a 500 Watt power supply and the only two devices connected to the usb are the mouse and the keyboard which are with a wireless transmitter.

Do you know the exact power supply?

Do you have some other ()wired) keyboard to try with? Wireless keyboards can sometimes cause problems with GTAIV.

The power supply is an Antec EA-500. And yes I have a wired keyboard and mouse and I will try them.

that's earthwatts. i have three of the seasonic editions, but i heard the delta-made ones (ea-500d) are good also. good luck, let us know how it turns out.
