Hey all i am new to this site.... can anyone send me a link to a mod which changes light bar colours? (give ma a link other than gtapolicmods.com it is down in my pc) hope u will.

Other than this, you can use some amount of texturing to change the colors. Look around particle.txd and you may find it.

Download the programm then go this tab and change the color

Actually, a siren makes noise (comes from the Greek mythological being). A light bar is that. A bar with lights.

The light bar of police cars is textured red and blue. However, there is also a particle and light effect that it emmits which are red and blue (red and white on ambulances). I could probably fetch the addresses if the SALA option doesn't work.
