@ Criminal in other topic.... Good old Pussy. It's actually quite sad to see mobsters ratting on their friends in my opinion. I mean it just goes to show that they don't care about anything but their own well being and also their families to say the most. You'd think that out of all the bad deeds you've committed in your life, you can at least keep your oath and be a man and not rat. Because lets be honest, when mobsters take the witness stand they are not magically transformed into good guys all of a sudden, the government seems to think that they automatically have redeemed themselves overnight just because they say sorry. Bullsh*t. Having a life of crime and then on top of that destroying the one thing you're meant to stand for should show people that these rats haven't become good people, if anything it shows them to be even worse. Rats aren't good people, the mobsters that actually keep their oath and don't help the government are the one's with at least a few values in life With all that said, what can you do, bad guys exist. On top of that why does everyone admire this guy? Sure it was an awesome movie but this guy truly is scum. I admire John Gotti more than I do Henry Hill, both bad guys, but at least John kept his Oath. This post has been edited by Sanjeem on Friday, Jun 22 2012, 20:15

I couldn't agree more, when flipping you the government tries to beat it into your conscious that your doing the right thing, and that may be true on a technical level (as far as benefiting society as a whole), but the motives behind it are never any more than self-interest; a lack of basic principles in life makes for a pretty pathetic existence. Henry Hill seemed to make a living as a parasite. I love Goodfellas and it made for a great story and showcase of acting talent, but I won't mourn this guy's death, and his pathetic existence (I believe he was an alcoholic for many years before his death). I know he claimed for a long time that he never murdered anyone, though I never actually believed him. He was probably smart enough to know if the government had enough evidence to pin a murder on him, they would've done it, so he wasn't going to give them a leeway. I did have love for Big Pussy in the show though and was sad to see him go; that was probably more because he brought an interesting conflict to the show than me thinking he was an upstanding guy.
