First off, feel free to lock this if it's been discussed before, but I will say that I used the search function and couldn't find anything (in fact, it didn't really give me anything even remotely similar to what I searched).



Anyway, yeah. Do you think he will live at the end, or do you think he's gonna die?

I personally think he's most likely gonna live, but I feel that when the main dies at the end of any game, it leaves more of an impact on the player

I don't care if the main character lives or dies, I just want to connect to all of the characters and then have one of the characters you connected to die.

If it's one protag, then no, he should not die - that's getting predictable. AC:R teased it in the trailer, and Uncharted 3 teased it in the game - that was well done. If there are multiple protags like has been rumoured many times, then there would be room for one to die.

Well, to be fair, if there's multiple mains, then it's pretty damn obvious atleast one of them is not making it out alive. Atleast in my opinion

Many characters will proably die or get shot but I don't know about the main character. In the game, I wonder if that has even happened before.

Alright guys please use SPOILER tags when talking about RDR, my RDR experience was long ago spoiled, and it's f*cking annoying.

Imagine this, You play as protag number 1, you play through and eventually kill someone (Protag 2), then you play as protagonist 2 for some time playing the events leading up to the death, long enough so you get emotionally attached, you come up to a mission and it plays out and then things start to seem all too familiar, and then you get killed.

to add on what I said earlier...

It feels very bizarre playing as character who is "wasted" several times throughout the game and can take several gun shots to the head, but then somehow dies in a cinematic sequence. Not fitting at all. Especially not for a GTA.

@finn4life...that is one interesting way to pull it off though

For any game, I like it better when the protagonist lives in the end. Death in a video game usually means failure, so even when it's part of the story that my character is to die, I feel like I just played a game I could not win. So as a result, I don't feel very satisfied in the end, even if my character went out in a bad ass manner.
