...said all mighty...all knowing Vidiz ...and since you insist you know a lot of stuff, like i mean really lots of stuff...would you mind please tell us GTAV release date, without trolling please...

You're such a hypocrite. You wouldn't present me with proper evidence other than "common sense," and now you're asking him for "stats"? Go f*ck off.

LOl i'm not asking him for anything...that was sarcasm...take a chill pill psycho LOL

Really now? I can't tell if you're sarcastic by text on the screen.

...really lets move along already or it has a danger of becoming off topic again...thats what you want? LOL and as the whole 90% of what i said in this topic is nothing, but a sarcasm, which i suspect you're taking way too seriously...LOL

Better singleplayer but then roll over all the stuff that will make it better into MP freeroam (discounting story stuff obviously) and f*** the competitive MP, no one gives a s*** about that.

GTA is single player. f*ck multiplayer.

All multiplayer needs is Free Mode. They should make GTA V an MMO, like a Lobby with 100,000 people in the one city.

Oh, damn... 100,000? The highest player server limit I've seen in a game was 1,000. It was just for a test, a one day thing. Planetside 2 is going to have 2,000 players, and that has a map size of 8km by 8km.

Both. I come for the single player, but stay for the multiplayer. Playing by yourself can only be fun for so long. Playing with your friends is always fun. They need to make MP like Red Dead, but even better. GTA4 MP sucked balls in comparison.

GTA IV's free mode is better by far, it just isn't for kids that have ADD. No one does anything in RDR but gang hideouts. In IV people do racing, cop shootouts, killing, role playing, trolling and doing made-up games all in FM. None of that happens in RDR, therefore RDR's online sucks balls.

f*ck the multiplayer, i don't give two sh*ts about playing online with 12 years old kids (they ruined GTA IV for me) i would rather R* spend more time on improving the singleplayer campaign and give us a long story with many features to keep us stoked until GTA VI

Me and you both icon14.gif

I voted for a better campaign. I want a long, interesting and exciting story with lots of fun and interesting side missions and activities to do, and a huge, detailed map to explore. F**k the multiplayer, I could not care less if it was not in the game.

You seem lonely.

I wouldn't mind if they kept private free roam. That's the only time I go on multiplayer in open world games.

Is that your way of saying you wanna be my friend ?? Nah, I'm good, don't need a new friend thank you, but thanks for your offer !! cool.gif

QUOTE (Vidiz @ Tuesday, Jun 12 2012, 02:28)
Like it or not, online gaming is the future. Open world games will probably see a change next generation, with a focus on online open worlds with a focus on social (not casual) experiences with plenty of action and co-op mission based gameplay with a lot of RPG elements such as character customisation. It's inevitable that GTA will be one of the franchises that ends up doing that in my opinion.

Hold your horses pal. Online gaming is the future for many, but not for all gamers. The snapshot poll tells us that most GTA gamers don't give a sh*t about multiplayer that much. Don't speak for everyone bro, many of us gamers really do not care for multiplayer so much to the point we wanna see games focus mostly on MP. The gaming market has changed, but it is fragmented, there will be different target consumer bases for specific games, and each consumer base will have significant market share. Its not all gonna be dominated by just one.

There are few things that you need to understand:

* Not everyone is hugely taken in, excited or impressed in by online gaming.

* Many gamers appear to get bored of multiplayer fast. They play for a short while and then the lobbies become near empty.

* MP still has very limited gameplay aspects. Mostly about run and gun and getting the most kills = very repetitive deathmatches.

* To integrate, complex, sophisticated RPG elements and detailed storyline-based gameplay in multiplayer mode would be extremely hard and very complicated to do, so much to the point it may not ever work. This kind of stuff is best effective and done in single player mode only. GTA is definitely single-player focused game, there is no practical way to make its MP experience similar and better than its SP one, no way.

The single player gaming market is still the biggest yet and I cannot see that changing anytime soon. I cannot see more focus on MP more and SP - the day that happens is the day I stop gaming altogether. But I cannot see that happening anyway.

Well considering RDR came out after GTA IV R* had time to improve multiplayer didn't they? I think some forget GTA IV was the first game they made with online multiplayer on such a large for this gen. Of course it's going to feel a bit ancient. confused.gif

I only played GTA IV multilayer for a few days after finishing the story and got bored of it quickly. I don't play games for multilayer. Just too repetitive.

I'd prefer a long story with many things to do after it. That's what i will judge the game on. icon14.gif.

Campaign obviously. I don't give a flying f*ck about multi-player. It's mostly full of annoying kids anyway who should stick with Call Of Duty or whatever.

GTA has always been about story, and like others have mentioned, I want R* to put everything into the story (as well as the map) to make it as interesting and fun as possible.

While I was winning in Star Junction, some douchebag blocked my path with a bus and ended up gunning me down. Then he and the rest of the dicks kicked me from the game, even though I started it up in the first place.

I think he blocked my path with a bus, though I think he just ended up shooting me dead. I can't remember to be honest.

People are saying noone is bothered about multiplayer, but the GTAIV lobbies still seem very busy to this day...

Also multipleyer gives the game added lifespan. Its all very well saying they should only concentrate on the story, but do you seriously think that they are going to create a story that will last 5 years until the next GTA game?

Fact is the story aspect of GTA is fine. Yes, the single player game needs more lengetivity this time round in terms of things to do after the story, but multiplayer is the area which has the greatest potential to develop by far.
