Hello everyone. First off, if you don't know what lucid dreaming is, it is being aware that you are dreaming while dreaming. If this is an unfamiliar concept to you, I encourage you to look into the subject.

So, I was wondering if there are any other lucid dreamers among the GTAForums. I'd really like to chat with others about the subject and swap stories and techniques.

Tbh I think I lucid dream on a regular basis but the problem is that I rarely remember whether I did or not after I wake up.

Keep in mind that this is just by going to sleep I don't ever intend to lucid dream or go thorugh with any preparation.

I also RARELY have dreams.

I have tried it a few times, didn't work...

Just the idea of doing everything you want without consequences, seems delightful .

Well, people have dreams every night, it's remembering them that's the issue. If you do care about remembering your dreams, you should keep a dream journal. It works wonders for your dream recall. Also, you're a lucky bitch for having random lucid dreams, they're difficult to come by for me, but I'm getting better at it.

@Guib
What kind of attempts did you make?

Its defiantly something I really want to look into. I have very vivid dreams but I have no real control over them, or even myself in them. The ability to craft ones dreams would be f*cking sweet!

I've had a lucid dream, it seemed like a normal real life day, yet there were dogs driving cars and sh*t.
I woke up and I was like "Thank f*ck for that" I'd thought the world went crazy or something confused.gif

I made the lucid dreaming definition in my post more accurate, just for you.

I don't ever remember my dreams, even less do I remember lucid dreams, if I had any.

Being aware and able to control your dreams to some extent is relatively common as you start to regain consciousness before you wake up. Typically, you'll realise you're dreaming, but only for a few moments before you wake.

Proper lucid dreaming is great. I've never tried to bring it on, but every so often - usually during dreams that seem incredibly real - I'm aware that it's a dream and I can do what I want. I always seem to start out not 100% sure if it's a dream or real life, and invariably end up getting my dick out so I can judge people's reactions. The logic, I suppose, is that if people seem indifferent to my junk being on display, it must be a dream. As of yet I've not done this while awake, fortunately.

Of course, there's always the possibility that I'm dreaming that I can control the dream and it's not lucid at all. Who knows? Either way, they're more fun than normal dreams.

A good way to tell if you're dreaming is hit a light switch or read a book, our brains aren't any good at processing that. A bad way is to look in a mirror, our brains are really bad at processing how those work and you'll look like a circus freak.

I used to get really annoyed with lights in dreams. There was something about how dull everything still was after turning what should be a bright light on that freaked me the f*ck out. I don't remember that happening for years, though. Now if lights are screwy I quickly realise I'm dreaming.

I don't know if thinking while morphine takes effect in your body is a lucid dream. But, whatsoever, I don't think I've ever had one at all.

Yeah, I had that once, but I didn't know I was dreaming, so I wasn't controlling the dream.

It was really scary, I would walk off the stairs to the mirror, and when I looked at it, I saw a mix of a scary clown, Medusa(snake hair) and my own brother (who looks like me...)

I read the opening of your post as "Hello everyone, f*ck off."

anyways I lucid dream every once in a while. had one the other night actually. I don't really have any techniques, but thinking about dreaming before sleeping seems to help. Also keeping a dream diary helps, as soon as you wake up after dreaming just write down what the dream was about. Just thinking about the dream throughout the day helps as well imo.

sometimes I just get a few minutes of lucid dream action, other times it's a long ass journey that feels like it lasts forever. I almost always get the former but every once in a while I'll have a long ass journey.

I have something a little different, when I am dreaming my body is moving in real life depending on what decisions I take in my dreams, sometimes good decisions turn out bad.
Is impossible to tell difference from dream and reality, my brain is making it damn believable.
Example: I am in a war preparing to throw a grenade at some enemies, when I suddenly wake up to realize that I just threw my phone out the window (from the 6th floor)...
The medication I started to take about 4 years ago seems to have helped a little.

That is because your body isn't turned off, right?
There is something in our brains that shuts off our body if we are dreaming, and you don't have that, right?

Something I forgot to add in my post is that I have been lately dreaming about drinking, and smoking. Hell - just a few hours ago I was dreaming about drinking a margarita - tasted like sh*t and made me f*ckin' dizzy, but what can I say? Those dreams are also lucid dreams.

You lucky, lucky, sonavabitch. I am jealous to a high extent. I've been practicing (a bit on and off) for about 2 or 3 years and have had mild progress. My best was 2 lucid dreams in a week and I was f*cking estatic. But I've been reving up into full gear for the past few weeks, making sure to get things down in my journal and doing reality check. Actually... I'm going to set up my alarm right now so I can try out some other techniques. I really want to have a WILD, but that seems to require me having to had just come out of sleep no more than an hour prior, otherwise I can't complete the transistion.
