hi thought the new feature in max payne 3 using cutscenes to load the next scene was brilliant anyone think it will be in v? (i saw virtually no loading screens in max payne 3) (just the loading of the game from start)

i mean i know the game is not supposed to have any loading screens but sometimes iv loads and replacing the bland black loading screen with a cutscene would be alot better in my opinion

thoughts?

They did it in Red Dead Redemption too (for initial mission cutscenes at least) they started as soon as you walked into the marker. I fully expect GTA V to be the same.

Yea that would be a great idea.
Showing the title of the mission like the Chapters in Max Payne 3.

I reeally hope not. I hated it in Max Payne 3. Unskippable boring scenes of max payne and passos slowly opening a door and walking through it, or max slowly climbing something, are terrible. Hopefully if they do include cutscene loading it will feature less boring cutscenes than someone taking a gun of a holster and slowly pushing a door open.

They did that so people can be immerse in the story and not skip the cut screens.
If they do that in GTA V then the story has to be there. GTA stories are good but the missions are sometimes drive here shoot that with wacky characters.

But the loading in-game is probably taking as much time as the black screen loading, so it's the same I think.
Not comparing this with Max Payne 3 becouse that games has some very long cutscenes...

You clearly aren't the target audience then, the story was gripping, but you have to be in the right mindset to really enjoy it, MP3 was more like a fully interactive movie in my opinion.

Do you even read the topics before you start to bitch?
In Max Payne 3 loading screen represents cutscenes that have already been showed, and the topic starter asked if we prefer those over the black images.
And because you have no idea what a loading screen is, here are some screenshots:

Im definitely not in the target audience for Max Payne 3. See, I actually want to play a video game. If I want a cinematic experience, I'll watch a movie. R* seem to have trouble understanding this concept.

I have to agree with Zee for once, MP3's cut scene system sucked. It was fine during my first playthrough, but try going back to select checkpoints for the single player grinds, or play again in old school/hardcore. You can't skip the majority of the cut scenes, or even back out to the main menu during them. Sometimes, I would actually have to quit the game and restart it just to avoid being committed to a 5-7 minute cut scene sequence I couldn't skip (which was a recurring problem since cutscenes regularly start after killing NPCs for grinds). Cutscene loading has already proved to be a serious FAIL as far as gameplay functionality is concerned.

This post is pretty ironic, you need you expand your mind, a game can , as R* have proven, be both an immersive gameplay and a cinematic experience rolled into one. I think you seem to have trouble grasping that concept.

The cinematic were interesting and fun to watch , if you want pure gameplay go and play an MMORPG...
You don't play story driven games like this just to shot some enemies...
