It's because he's got 2GB of RAM. That isn't enough for Win7. The end, really.

That's too weak for NFS Shift, at high settings I guess.

Lower the settings to Low/Medium.

I don't think that is the problem here, I also have 2GB and I can max out most of the games that come out these days...

Actually you are right, Its the 64-bit version that requires 2GB RAM.

Your pc is at the bare minimum of the game, if not below it, and that's your problem.
You should really look into buying a new computer.

but on xp , i had 1 gb of ram, because i've just got another 1 gb, and on xp, runs better than now with 2 gb... And is the only game that do this to me...
And i don't really need to buy a new pc, it's good enough(playing crysis 1, warhead, mafia 2 at medium settings, half life 2+ep1+ep2 and nfs undercover at max settings, i think it's a decent pc...)

If you're okay with that PC, then that's good for you.
But if it were my PC, I'd ditch it wink.gif

But IV often just can't run on 2 GB of RAM on Windows 7, sorry to say that.
And besides, your CPU is literally the lowest you need for IV.
Your GPU is actually below it as the minimum is a GeForce 7900, which is comparable with something like a GeForce 8700.

XP itself needs 256-512MB on it's own to run smoothly. NFS Shift minimum requirements says 1GB of RAM.
Vista/7 needs 1GB (32-bit) or 2GB (64-bit) on it's own to run smoothly. NFS Shift minimum requirements for Vista/7 is 1.5GB. So the two are kind of fighting each other more. I'm not saying the game itself needs 1.5GB while the OS needs 1-2GB on it's own for a total of up to 3.5GB.
To explain better open the TaskManager and click on the Performance tab and look at the Memory bar. How full is it? Look at the bottom of the bar and what does it say? Exit as many programs as you can that you don't need to run the OS itself. How much did it drop down to? If you're still sitting around 1GB or more and on your on 64-bit version of Win7 then you're going to still have problems.

i use win 7 on 32 bit not 64... And at task manager, that bar is at a quarter of it... About 500-550 mb used... So 1.5 gb isn t enough to run nfs shift smoothly at low?

You had another topic with temp problems, and you said your pc starts to lag, did you fixed that problem?
If not then that could be the thing messing up your fps.

The 8400GS sucks, not to mention your pathetic CPU doesn't even go up to 2Ghz.... and this is on a desktop platform

I advise you to just spend 500-600 bucks on a new PC if you wan't to play games

TurboCache is a load of bologna... video cards with discrete video memory perform MUCH better... regular RAM and onboard video RAM is much slower then something like GDDR3 or GDDR5 in updated video cards

Its a non-official, pirate produced version filled with unnecessary additional programmes that hinder PC performance. Games will run worse under it and that's before I chastise you for illegally downloading operating systems.
