Okay, so here's the run down.

We're living in a place we can't set up wifi or any other internet connection, though we do have an internet dongle, we found out that people say you can hook up the connection using your laptop and an ethernet cable, but I'm absolutely cluless on the steps to take to achieve such things, it's all black magic to me.

So basically, what I need to know is using a Tmobile dongle, a Vista laptop, ethernet cable and an Xbox, how do I make it fxcking work? In the least complex way too.

What exactly do you have from TMobile?
Is this a USB dongle that lets you use TMobile's cell service to get internet service or what?

A 3G internet dongle.

I can't remember exactly but you need to make your computer the router, if i remember right it goes Dongle ---> PC ---->(Maybe router) ----> Xbox.
You can only do it with some versions of vista, home basic doesn't allow it i am pretty sure, i remember i used to try it on my old laptop.
Could you do a speed test at your house at this site below, because it may not even be worth the trouble as 3G internet is usually very lousy for gaming.

it would be a lot easier to get a compatible router which can route your signal around the house through your dongle.

1) Connect dongle to laptop and verify the internet works.
2) Connect an Ethernet cable from your laptop to your Xbox and turn on your Xbox.
3) Open control panel and click 'Network and Internet' then 'Network and Sharing Center' then 'Manage network connections'.
4) Right-click on the connection you want to share (internet dongle) and click 'Properties' then select the 'Sharing' tab. Then check 'Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection'. Now Click 'OK' on any configuration boxes that may be open.
5) Check and make sure your Ethernet controller is enabled and says 'connected'.
6) Go into your Xbox and enable wired networking. You should now be done.

Keep in mind that if you do anything on your laptop in the mean time, it will adversely affect your gaming performance. Also 3G, while it is slow by other internet standards, is still pretty fast. The killer is the latency.
