Must be the 80's feel of the game! I feel the same way about VC. |
Yeah, that particularly and, the amazing atmosphere. And, the classic video gam-ish touch This post has been edited by Yossarianite on Saturday, Jun 9 2012, 13:25

Well...so much for me thinking you were cool. j/k | Take away the 80's vibe and the soundtrack, and you're left with quite a horrible playing game. I enjoyed the game a lot, and would happily play through it again, but what I'm saying is that if I had to list the GTA games in order of favouritism, VC would be near the bottom of the list, if not the bottom.

I'm not going to argue you on it. Let's just say they all have their different pros and cons. Hey, and maybe that is a little bit of what makes the series so great. -deleted small rant because I remembered I opened up with 'not going to argue'.-

-deleted small rant because I remembered I opened up with 'not going to argue'.- | I knew you was kidding man, just wated to kind of explain why I dsliked it so much. I've seen plenty of people who say VC is their favourite of the series, and I respect their choice - as you said, it's all down to opinion and whatnot. Just felt that a few things in VC didn't work out just right...especially after the great III.

BFD). Yet, the whole vibe of the game was so spot on, I didn't care. It's the only GTA I would play through to 100% repeatedly to try to beat my best time. But yeah, we all have our reasons. Kinda like how I still like IV, even though it's at the bottom of my GTA list. But upcoming games that have really grabbed my attention as of late: GTA V, as if I even have to list it. I have a gut feeling this will be my new favorite GTA. Watch Dogs. From what is known thus far, I think this has the potential to put a unique spin on open city games. Plus I'm a bit biased because it's set in Chicago. I've been dreaming of Chicago in an open world game for a decade and it's finally happening. And really I'm just excited to see the next-gen in general.

| QUOTE (02fishera @ Friday, Jun 8 2012, 21:38) | Assassin's Creed II - A very underrated game in my opinion. One of a few titles that demonstrates brilliantly that gaming can be a serious art form, this title is probably my favourite game this gen. The story was gripping, the character's were well portrayed and the environment and atmosphere were jaw dropping and beautiful.
Sonic the Hedgehog - The very definition of a classic game. Often overlooked in favour of Sonic 2, this is the earliest game that I can remember playing as a child and still dig out my old Megadrive from time to time give it a bash.
Pokemon GB/DS Games - This probably makes me come across as being rather childish, but I'm not ashamed to admit that I still play them. Pokemon played a huge part in my childhood considering that I collected everything from the games and cards to posters and plushes. I still even play the newer titles on my DS when travelling.
Red Faction Series - Very little relieves stress as much as blowing up and destroying stuff does. I still play three out of four of the main games regularly. (All apart from 2 which was disappointing.) I have to say, I'm gutted that THQ discontinued the series in favour of the Saints Row series. | i agree with you about ACII. Brilliant game - i adjusted my TV settings and in game settings and managed to aquire my yearned-for night time. It was DARK, with golden specs of lights from the buildings. Looks beautiful. B and R were too bright at night time. Pokemon - that takes me back. Managed to get a couple on an emulator, as my GBA no longer works. (or the games dont i dunno), and played them a lot till my computer went down. The memories.

My favourite series of all time: Halo I was blown away by the first three. The music, the story and the ring system is awesome. The mutliplayer side was really fun but Reach didn't offer Halo 3 levels of fun for me Grand Theft Auto Where shall I start? The very satire nature of adverts etc makes me laugh all the time. Call of Duty I spent so many hours on CoD4 and MW2. Great times playing HCHQ and HC Search and Destroy but the franchise is dead to me now The Elder Scrolls Great RPG experience with great expansions. I hope Dawnguard lives up to Shivering Isles.
