I'm playing GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony and I saved my game last night, but now it won't load. It says "GTA IV save only", even though I haven't played GTA IV since I've reinstalled it. I attempted to restore my old GTA IV save (from November 2011) by pasting it to C:\Users\Dipo\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV, so perhaps that's what's caused the problem? My TBoGT save is present at C:\Users\Dipo\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames\user_e00002e4c16d551b and the last "date modified" is the last time I saved in game, so the file IS still present

AFAIK this can be bypassed sometimes by either loading manually or starting a new game and then loading the savegame.

I think it'll fix the problem, but disable online play.

Because your save file location has moved. Move your save file on the appropiate location, depending on your OS.

That's where it was in the first place

In fact, the files I need are still in that exact folder, except now they're 0KB in size
I'm guessing they're gone forever ahaha

If they are 0 bytes, then they're gone. xliveless switches the savegame folder to my documents, as you could have found out on your own. Had you read the FAQ or the included readme.

Hmm, my 2nd savefile has now also vanished. I didn't uninstall/reinstall ANYTHING. It was a clean install and I played it just yesterday. Seriously, f*ck Rockstar and this game man

I remember seeing that someone on here created a save game backup program which, I think might be for GTA IV. Have you tried searching the system for the save games?

Hello All I just got a brand new laptop well above the recommended requirments for GTA 4 . I have installed the programs with ease and installed and then uninstalled windows live to Rockstar's 2008 recommendations for FATAL ERROR WS10. I have restarted my computer but unfortunatley I hVE THE SAME ERROR WS10 CAN ANYONE HELP?

Try installing the Games For Windows Live Update. Also, next time when you have an issue, please make a and don't high-jack someone else's. Good luck.
