Yes, for the average person, that is all you need, as more than 3-4 activations would mean:(1) You are sharing the game with friends(which is illegal), OR (2) Have something major wrong with your PC, OR (3) You mess up modding too much...No offence, but it's true?... confused.gif

Also, there IS a way to actually use NO Live activations, and that is to use the Xliveless program(created by Mkey-I think, as he has it linked in his sig.?), as it bypasses Live...

As stated before (just a few posts up) xliveless is NOT an option. It would mean I couldn't even run TLAD or TBOGT anymore, as I purchased them as DLC's to run under IV, whithout GFWL, you cannot launch them, and the opening screen of IV will show signin under both game icons. Nevermind the fact that it disables Multi player, for some a very important addition to the game.

By the way I did say MY COUNTRY. I am from the Netherlands, not the US, there is no way for me to call the 1800 numbers you quoted.

That is false, as I too have bought TLAD and TBOGT as DLC's(from Steam) and they both work great with Xliveless...So, How do you figure Xliveless wouldn't work? Just curious/confused? confused.gif

About the 1-800 numbers, those should be available to anyone who has access to a telephone(either landline OR Cell)? So, again, Confused and curious on that one? confused.gif

Sorry, but number 2 comes from my Law Enforcement experience...
Number 3, I already knew-I ONLY mentioned it, as it was a viable option to FIX this kind of problem really simple, as MP is not really that important anyway, imo...

Number 3, I already knew-I ONLY mentioned it, as it was a viable option to FIX this kind of problem really simple, as MP is not really that important anyway, imo...

I did not buy from stream, but from GFWL.

Disabling the GFWL client will make both unavailable to play, as mentioned the in game screen will show a signin message instead of play.

1-800 numbers are not valid to be dialled in another country, they are valid in the US only.

In any case, I just got off the Phone, they are forwarding my case and all the evidence to some other department that handles these kind of things, they did tell me that it could take up to five working days for them to actually respond, so we will have to wait and see.

Well, I just wanted to update this thread and let you all know that I actually did receive a new key from Microsoft.

I was assuming they could simply re-set the number of activations, but they actually gave me a new key (apparently through Rockstar).

Yes I did. I explained to them why I was over the activation limit, they asked and gotten proof (scan of cd, booklet with key, game packaging and my gamertag + signature), the tech support guys forwarded my case to some department back in the us. It took them more then a month, but I did receive a new key in the email a few days back.
