If I wanted a super powerful PC on a budget of $500-800 USD, and I plan to build it myself, what would you suggest to run GTAIV maxed out and maybe even something like ARMAII?

edit: do you have like a case, DVDRW, ram, etc. already? what desktop PC parts do you have?
i think you need to replace the thermal paste on your CPU and graphics card -- use a rice grain sized blob for each, if possible.

I don't have a case or parts for a PC, only a laptop.. I'm trying to find a case now.. So many to choose from and I'm confused which to go with.. Suggestions?

EVGA Geforce 560

Looks ok. If you are buying an SSD, the 120-128Gb ones offer best bang for buck at the moment, giving enough room for the os and a game or two, perhaps a crucial m4 128Gb.

I think I'm going to wait on the SSD boot drive for now and go with a 2TB HDD..

its better than what i would done. i was thinking, you don't have microcenter or frys near you - and i am tired of newegg because they don't take money orders. its difficult to search on amazon. the problem is i don't know what would play ARMA II (or III when it comes out). i can say that i have three gta iv machines with ssd and one with velociraptor, they all load gta IV faster than conventional hard drive. also, i like samsung (the ones made in korea, not china) for hard drives. maybe a samsung spinpoint if you can get it?
edit: sorry i took so long to get back to this thread. troubleshooting new GTA IV machine (x4 975, gt 640, samsung 830, cheap asus am3+ motherboard).
