| QUOTE (PrometheusX @ Friday, Jun 1 2012, 08:23) | | QUOTE (Ms.45 @ Friday, Jun 1 2012, 12:56) | I went into the link, but it's a bit confusing and I am stuck.. |
Either get a new gaming PC, or use a lot of tweaks from over the internet to gain 2-5FPS w/o worse graphics. |
^^^^^ This is pretty much your ONLY option, since you are on a laptop, as laptop cards cannot be upgraded easily-in order to upgrade a laptop, you would have to replace the whole motherboard(which that alone is $400+, according to a local PC Repair shop in the Gulfcoast area-back in 2007, so it more than likely is higher now due to inflation) plus replace the processor and ram... However, like you said, you could go back to playing SA, as that PC WILL max. SA no problem... If you lower your settings to Low/Medium and set the sliders at no more than 25 and turn ALL shadows OFF and lower the resolution to no more than 1024X600 and use Patch 4, you should get the game playable pretty well...also, experiment with the commandlines as well...
