I Saw The Devil is a visceral, gut-churning bloodrush of a Movie. Amazing.

Yes it's highly implausible, but how many people does Maximus kill without a scratch? I Saw The Devil feels like a graphic novel.

A graphic novel sold in a wrapper, because it would traumatise children who read it in the store.

Is it exploitation? Are we, the audience, literally getting off on violence, gore, depravity by watching it?

You bet your Ass we are. And it feels Damn good.

I didn't make my own choice clear: I prefer ISTD to Gladiator.

Bearing in mind I haven't seen Ridley's extended cut of Gladiator.
