Claude is the most messed up character in my opinion. The guy is as soulless and emotionless as it gets, and he simply doesn't care for anybody but himself. I never understood how one's infatuation with this guy came about. No objective, no heart, no connection with the player; he's a bastard that deserves to rot in hell if it exists. He probably killed the woman who saved his pathetic life back when Salvatore wanted him dead; think about that.... could you imagine CJ killing Sweet because he bashes his driving skills, or Niko killing Roman when Roman blamed Niko for 'ruining his life'? Seriously, Claude is a god damn chode if I ever saw one.

Marty Chonks was pretty creepy to me, his missions were basically driving people to their ultimate dooms...

Although Donald was no less messed up.

I agree with most of that (proud Claude hater here), but without Maria's interference, Claude never would have been forced out of Portland or the Mob in the first place. Maria is the one who told Salvatore that she and Claude were an item, and to be honest, I think that is another reason why Claude shot Maria. Imagine saving someone's life who practically ruined yours to begin with, but they won't shut up for five seconds; you'd want to shoot them too, although Claude actually did because he was a psychopath without any morals.
