My effects mod is great but there is only one down side - when someone shoots the ground annoying thick cloud of dust or whatever it is rises and causes me to heavily lag. Is there a way to remove it? What file is that?

Try using the LQ version of NGE v1.6. Also please don't post images larger than the resolution of 640x480, you could also upload the over at several image hosting sites then post in thumbnail.

Sorry I'll know for next time and thanks. However it's only that, everything else is working great. I really don't want to use the LQ version.
Do you maybe know the specific file name that causes it? Or does anyone else?

The information for size of that dust cloud as well as how long it lasts are in effects.fxp. It's probably this, not the actual texture, that's causing the lag. If you want, you can try to locate the texture/effect used for it within that file and change it, or copy/paste from the original effects.fxp.
