omg
1 - players that are on the same team that kill their team for no f*cking reason WTF

2 - players that kick you for no reason or because your better than them

3 - hosts that never start the game

4 - c*nts that every time you go in the same lobby they send you a gay message

5 - PLAYERS THAT YOU SHOOT 1893791823 TIMES AND THEY NEVER DIE.

6 - players that kill you and you don't know where the f*ck they came from.

7 - faggots that think they are better than you LMFAO cute

8 - bitches who take the game way to seriously as if it's THEIR life.

I'm a level 1 n00b and proud of it. I'd never even played multiplayer until a month ago but I have this feeling that MP will factor in much more in GTAV and I wanted to get some practice in and learn WTF to do. That's why I came to this subforum and I am not guilty of doing the stuff that annoys. Well, mostly, I'm still learning.

So far I've played 14 MP games of various types and had #1, 3, 5, and 6 happen to me. But I suck so I expect to get killed a lot, no big deal. When I actually kill someone else, I get super happy because it doesn't happen much.

One of the first times I played MP, as soon as the game started someone "kicked" me. I didn't even know what that was? I figured it was bad but the game just started so how could anyone be mad at me?

Last time I played which was this week, I was playing team deathmatch on the red team and after a while I kept getting killed when there was no one near me but my team mates. At first I thought someone on another team must have a sniper rifle but finally I caught one of my red team mates shooting at me. F that! I later had the opportunity to kill him but I decide not to. I am not going to be that type of player.

So the next game is about to start (the lobby?) there's a good amount of players but all this shuffling of teams and colors is going on for like 2 minutes so I'm thinking, "Just start the fu@king game already!" I don't even know how to change teams/colors so I end up on a team all by myself, there are like 3 other teams on 1 or 2 players and we are all level 0 to 2. The last team has 5 players and they are all level 7 and higher. Real fair but whatever. MP is a dog eat dog world.

I'm an army of one and trying my best but I'm getting killed left and right but players I can't even see. It was pretty hilarious. I feel pretty good when I can get a shot or two on someone and I'm not hanging back or hiding, I'm going to the action and trying to live as long as possible. Later on in this match I somehow got too far from the other players, maybe I was going after guns & armor I don't know but it wasn't intentional. So I'm heading back to the action and I start getting "kick" messages and I figure it's because they think I'm hiding or something. I kept going towards the other players but I was still out of range and BOOM! I was kicked out of the game. sad.gif Of course the other players didn't know my intentions and probably thought I was hiding so I feel it was justified.

Sorry for the ramble. Overall I like MP more than I thought I would and I love the randomness of it. I am surprised there isn't a sticky thread on the "Multiplayer Code of Ethics" or something like that. Something you could point n00bs to so they would know WTF is up and how to be better members of the community. It would certainly be a good thing to have before GTA V comes out and there is a new flood of players.

Oh, and if anyone wants to help a n00b out my PSN name is Beez620.

This guide will pretty much make you pro instantly. Most players and even some high rankers can't aim for sh*t. I use a Pistol all the time because of that reason. But ignore the cornershooting part, It's a coward move and will get real pros mad.

Overall Multiplayer is full of faggots. High rankers teaming together against newbies, kicking you out of a lobby for no reason instead of making it a private match, glitchers, ... It's GTA
Newbs always wanna go on my team while I prefer being a lone wolf avoiding them and killing higher rankers XD

People don't kick for hiding or being too far away, I don't understand why they kick you. Tho you might get kicked if you're better than them.

I try to play fair without annoying anyone, whether my opponent plays fair aswell or not.
But here's some advice, don't complain about glitchers/noobs or annoying people on here, It will only bring hate and a bad reputation like mine.

No offense to the creator of that video, I don't know him, but his disallow tips are abysmal and if his partner actually tried seriously he's about as good at disallow as the worst member of these forums. If you actually follow his tips you'll be an easy kill for any good player. I don't want to be destructive so I'll say why:

1) You should NOT blindly move to the left, stop, move to the right, stop etc. because it's NOT intuitive. Not only does he stop far too much giving himself a hard time killing his enemy, which is why he takes forever to kill his friend in the video, but also does he make himself an easy kill to a good player.

2) Why would you crouch when your enemy crouches? That's pointless and gives you no advantage whatsoever. Should your enemy crouch you take a few steps aside pre-aiming, letting them shoot at you, after a second or two you stop and give them headshots. This way most of the time the noobs won't even touch you and you can continue your deathmatch or whatever you're playing without having lost health.

3) Should a good player run in circles DON'T shoot him. It may work to kill uber noobs but good players intentionally run in circles trying to make you stand still and shoot at them so they can get quick headshots on you once they stop and you stand still. What you do is wait till they stand still, then shoot, because if the weapons are on assault rifles it'll give you an advantage of 1-2 seconds in the open. No-one will ever run in circles like his friend does in the video in deathmatches, that's unthinkable. No-one is as unrealistically bad.

By the way, "real pros" don't get mad due to cornerglitching. "Real pros" rush (or adapt to it) because "real pros" know that getting mad during the game is a terrible mistake and has a negative impact on your concentration. "Real pros" keep a cool head.

I try to zig-zag towards opponents with knife but always get killed before I can cut him up D: And yes I agree with you, the only good thing the video shows is the tap-shooting and easy headshots which is pretty much what you need. Crouching=bad.

QUOTE (tj11)
It's common knowledge that I hate those cowardly heli-trolls. But even more than that, I loathe people (mostly yanks and the odd kiwi) who just talk sh*t over the mic. Why 99% of Americans are such arseholes, I'll never know.

I'm American so I take it you automatically dislike me? :'( I try not be an arsehole for the most part.

___
On topic: I've only recently started gta (multipalyer wise) and I am doing ok. I normally get in second place if I'm lucky and I try to stay off the mic. (to avoid the trolls and hate). I have auto-aim on since it is a game default it does not bother me very much at all.

It is a lot of fun to kill the bull rams (aka people who try to mow down people with cars) it is pretty easy just aim at the window and walk to the side. Or if I get a automatic shut gun set the car and fire - after they bail (jump out) then I swap to pistol and shoot them. I find it easier to run/walk because the vehicles get in the way too often at least for me. I think that all of the above is allowed so I feel alright with it.

So any advice for a noob? smile.gif
