It's stupid:
CODE
The error returned was:

Flood control is enabled on this board, please wait 60 seconds before replying or posting a new topic

I just want to take quote of some person and copy to my edited post, which I wrote before.

It's not stupid; it's there to curb spam and spambots. And it's not going to change any time soon.

Try using the GTA Forums Multiquote Script.

It is possible for it to run in Chrome, Firefox & Safari.

Are you sure you weren't trying to add a new reply, rather than edit a post, since I've never encountered this error when editing a post...

I'm guessing he wants to quote a post directly, so that the code for quoting the post (with the name and date) will be available to him, rather than having to do it manually. In that case, he'll be subject to the limit of flood control.

Re-reading the OP, that makes more sense as to what he was getting at, so my bad. If you're really desperate to edit a quote in to a post, then just use:

CODE
[quote=member's name]text[/quote]

QUOTE (member's name)
text

Just copy and paste the text, so much easier. The date/time stamp isn't really a big issue.

It's only 60 seconds, 1 minute. I don't think you can post more than once in a minute. Only spammy posts are being posted in less than a minute. I don't really think it disturbs anybody. Plus, in case of spammers, it allows more time for the staff members to take action. For instance, if a spambot registers, posts, and he has to wait 1 minute after posting until he'll be able to do it again. This will give the staff members time to deal with it.
