Before you say, UGH, consider how funny Tom was in Risky Business and again in Tropic Thunder!?! I actually like Mission Impossible too, so I look forward to this rock n roll musical comedy, I think I will have issues with it, but I'm not setting my expectations through the roof

Tom C says his family feel this was a role he should take, and hopefully it's not again making light of those of us who SWEAR by ROCK N ROLL, it is a life-style we live, not just some background music we enjoy on rare occasion. It's like the air we breathe!

I don't think anyone has a problem with Tom Cruise in movies.
most people acknowledge that he's a decent actor and a funny guy.

the problem with Tom Cruise is that he's f*ckin' crazy.
and I don't like giving money to crazy people who are just going to turn around and "donate" it to their ultra-crazy church (Scientology).

I'm sure this movie will be popular among women.
odds are I will end up seeing it because my girlfriend will drag me along.

Exactly why I stopped renting/watching/buying anything he is involved with.

I didn't know he was in Rock of Ages. Damn, and I actually wanted to see this flick.

I didn't like him early on, seemed much more cocky then he is now, but he can do his own stunts, and he works behind the scenes as well as act, got to give him credit for making bold strokes in his life and career, but I give him a Jeer over news of his impending divorce to Katie Holmes...bad move there!!

A somewhat extensive TV segment on how Scientology is very possibly behind the split, due to Tom insisting on Surry being part of it, and Kate was a Catholic who is said to have converted when she married Tom. No one from either camp is talking about the reason, but it could be nothing but bad press for Tom after this film came out
