Before XCOM got postponed to fiscal 2014, take two had listed XCOM before GTA V (in the 8K form submitted on 2nd Feb)


After XCOM got postponed, GTA V got listed above it even after being TBA (in the 8K form submitted on 22nd May)

We will have GTA V by December 2012. Bioshock in 2013 GTA V in 2012. GTA V needs some months to reach what Take Two want so it will be October release.

Totally agreed about 2013. January-Febuary-March-April-May sounds very likely, BUT. I wouldn't be half surprised if it came out on some unsuspecting date late into 2013. IV did come out in April.

The reason i mentioned late 2013 being possible is because im starting to think that they didn't even start on V untill 2009 or 2010.

Dude, the trailer had clips from missions. They must have started immediately after GTA IV.

for those thinkin about the october 12 release think about this Max Payne 3 got delayed twice and they had to remarket, delay some trailers and the D&T videos which thereby caused Rockstar Games make Rockstar North delay further development. Once Max Payne 3 was back on track R* North were back on track, but it's already more than half way through this year so nothing will happen until late 2012 (possible info) and then a release in 2013 (March at the latest)

The T2 financial report was after all that, and it projects numbers that could only be achieved if GTA V was released by March of 2013.

All we can do is expect, but I have a feeling that info is about to pop up anytime in the next month. For it to release in October, it has to be marketed for 3months minimum.

Because they don't have/need to? Maybe but i just don't buy this whole GTA V coming on 2012 stuff, it seems much more logical to me for V to some on early '13(before March)

How do you guess three months, hmmm? San Andreas had two months of marketing and it still remains as the all time best selling game for the PS2.

They could promote V for one month and the whole world would know about it. Fact.

Actually started in May 2004 at E3 where a preview, with screenshots, in Game Informer magazine was distributed at the convention floor. Several previews and screenshots released throughout up until its release in October from there on out. You're probably thinking about the trailers which started in August.

Although I absolutely agree with the sentiment you have on the fact that the successes of the GTA brand has offered them the ability to not require speaking about the game as much.

Still, the internet was no where near as big as it is today. A few screenshots isn't going to hype everyone up as much as a new trailer for V will anyway

@StalinBballin I agree but isn't it more proper to focus more on GTAV than the MP3 DLCs? As I said in the other thread, MP3 is being hated due to the absence of GTAV. MP3 crews being carried forward to GTAV is a good way to promote MP3 DLCs if and only if they show a bit about GTAV MP.
