I've been on this place for almost 10 years and I've seen the changing of the old guard a few times. While there always major changes, some things stay the same and I think a mix of consistency and change is what keeps me here.

That, and I talk to some pretty cool people from here. I've also met my share of people from GTAF and will add to that list in about six weeks.

The admins are hilarious most of the time and there are very few retarded people here. (Save for the V subforum. That's the black sheep for what I guess will be a couple years.) This is a haven from the internet on the internet.
Also, the main topic is something about Grand Theft Auto, the best video game series in the world to me.

That being said, this forum is a win/win situation 24/7.

I remember when I first joined and I just hung around the V section, not venturing any further into the murky depths. Then I started looking around and being a nosey bugger, and I discovered all the other sub-forums. Now I spend most of my time in gen chat rambling away about anything and everything. There are some pretty cool people here, some pretty crazy people too, sometimes both.
