I'm so glad they changed the style for the final release, if it had stayed cartoony then the style would've been a precedent for the next releases. Imagine if VC, SA, or IV had to be cartoony now because III kept that style, and in the eyes of the public people would've disregarded it as a kid's game judging solely by the screenshots.
